The E11 is incredibly powerful and I have no doubt that it will drive the Tzar350. You might want to upgrade to a cleaner sounding amp later, but then you'll have to spend a lot more. The E11 is a great bang for the buck!

My work rig is also my main rig but I guess years of incremental upgrades ended up as quite expensive rig by normal standards. There's plenty of people with much, much more expensive setups here on Head-Fi biggrin.gif

Plan to run the Tzar 350 on my big living room setup - powered by a tube amp. So it will be either an Icon Audio HP8 mkII, or the Analog Design Labs Svetlana 2, or the Opera Cosonance M-10S. Oh and occasionally the Violectric V200 or Yulong Sabre A18 for some solid state flavor.

Most of my CIEMs don't work so well on the tube amps. Too sensitive, they can often pick up hum from the output transformers or just general tube grit in the background that is not heard on full sized headphones. So I'm looking forward to that experience.

Also, will compare the 350 to my 4.A as well as the 4.Ai when it comes my way for the world tour program. Should be fun!

Yeah I'm going to get a nice balanced amp sometime in the future but I'm happy with the E11 right now so if I do get the Tzar 350 they should work well together.  I'll be happy with the 3.Ai I just bought yesterday so the Tzar if I do get one will be in a few months, did it say when they're going to be on sale?

You can contact Heir now and preorder them via email. Just Paypal the right amount and they can 'hand key' in the order.

Thank you for proving my point! biggrin.gif

In all seriousness, I'm looking forward to your review.

Very much interested in the Tzar 350. I like the warmish-neutral signature, but the neutral-neutral sound I feel is more realistic, pure, and engaging. Yes. Engaging. My amp is ready to receive... just gotta muster up the courage to drop the big coinage. :(

This matching amp will be interesting.

One word:

Clarity.

Tzar 350 and Rendition 1 in the house.

Shoddy pix will be up in a jiffy. AFAIK the amp casing is not the final version - I'm listening to The Wizard's own development sample. I was told that the sound IS finalised and by golly it works. Will post impressions later but the clarity is what just hits me across the face.

I really should have brought my camera to work today.

The Tzars have a black shell where the Ai series are purple. Absolutely beautiful burl on these.

Alright, you will want to be picky with your sources for these badboys. Garbage in, garbage out. Even more so than usual. But if you feed them the right stuff, oh you will be rewarded! Louise Rogers in 24/192 from my DX100, through the Rendition 1 to the Tzar 350 is just unreal.

Maybe a little early to be certain but how's the bass quantity and extension next to the 4?

The 4.Ai and 3.Ai won't be here until tomorrow I'm afraid.
