Do different GUI's affect your perception of audio quality playback?

This question is directed to Android users. I have several music player apps on my DAP and I believe I can hear differences in playback quality between them. Am I imagining this, correct in my assumption, or is some other factor , such as different gui's, influencing my perception of audio playback quality?

Placebo cannot be ruled out, but you can find out.

 

Just conduct a small test: Get someone to change players without you knowing, and then see if you can hear any differences.

 

If you still do, its due to the players and possibly the EQ settings they use.

I don't, but I do get a certain satisfaction and happiness from a well designed UI on its own merits.
