I guess my messy desk offsets her girly neatness.  I'm actually planning to clean it up this weekend...not sure if you can tell, but one of the items on it are cable ties.  If you need a wider shot I'll upload one, but it'll just highlight the need for cable ties that much more.  The distance from the amp to the headrest on the chair is 4 feet.  Now that I look at it, I think the amp is probably off to the side enough that it'll pull the cord from dropping onto the keyboard.

I settled on seven feet.  I tried holding the cable up both ways and 7 was just more comfortable (didn't get in my way) and still gets rid of a meter of cable I don't need at my desk.

 

Also, I'm getting a good quality 10 foot extension rather than the 4 foot midnight extension.  Its probably not quite as good as the Midnight cable, but I needed the extra slack from my bed, otherwise someone would clothesline themselves in the dark and either hurt themselves or damage my equipment.  The 10 + 7 should also give me enough space wherever I end up moving.

That's not just any corded landline--its my direct line to Commissioner Gordon.  If I get rid of that, all of Gotham is doomed.

Its actually not wallpaper.  She hand painted that and my parents want to use the room as a guest room, which is why I'm reluctant to repaint.  I'm currently saving my money for condo and plan to move out in about a year.
