First I also bought the Hakshop cable already. I mean hell for $5 I may as well have it on hand.

 

Secondly, I would like to see your impressions of the DAC improvement over the DAC in the Samsung phones. The reviewers on the other thread (Lee730 for example) tend to not like the DAC. With that, his opinion is jaded as he uses an $800 DAC from iBasso...

Will be interested to see how the DAC is, I expect it might sound similar to the one in the iPhone 4/4S being that it is a Cirrus Logic one (I liked the sound in the iPhones, so don't expect that will be too much a problem). It may not best the Wolfson in the Note 2 though, since in a blind volume-matched test a colleague and I actually preferred it slightly to the iPhone 4, so worst case scenario I'll just use the headphone amplification side of things (if you were using it with a computer/other devices that will have worse sound than the the Leckerton DAC that is something else to consider).
