ODAC question

Hey guys,

 

I've been looking at getting the ODAC to add to my current set up of Canamp -> k701.  I love how the canamps have made my k701s sound warmer and fuller, and was wondering if a DAC can keep making the sound go in that direction.  I know the ODAC is more neutral but figured might as well buy it since it's such a great price for quality and right now my macbook pro is the source.  Any other DACs that would be good for my situation?

The ODAC is designed to be neutral. Is that what you want?

 

If you're looking for additional "warmer and fuller" coloration of the sound, the ODAC may not be right for you.

Well the DAC doesn't really make that much of a difference. A neutral DAC helps, you can 'tune' your sound with your amp and most obviously, your headphone.
