I used to own a pair of iBeats, and Skullcandy's tongue.gif Luckily I was able to sell the iBeats to some other kid at my school, or else I would have been stuck with them...

How many of you guys got Skullcandies and thought they were amazing?  I for one did!  Then they broke about a month later (not surprising).
I had skull candies, I thought they had bad bass lol. They're also the only headphones I've owned that actually broke.
I pay for my gear in a number of ways. First and foremost, I customize Xbox 360s for people. I've done about 50 over the past 2 years. That pays for some of it. The other parts are birthday monies and work. I'm pretty technologically literate, so I help people with their computer and charge $20 an hour, which is a steal for tech support. I also do any random jobs I can for extra money. And I had a "job" over the summer as well.
My 2 biggest pieces of advice:
1: save all the money you can. SAVE SAVE SAVE!!!
2: Look for deals. I wouldn't have been able to buy the HD600 when I did if I hadn't found a $100 off deal from the deals thread.
The HD600s came from birthday money and work, GR07s/EPH-100s as well as a computer, and pioneer speakers came from my summer job.
My iPad was all Xbox modding, as well as my receiver/TV.
The CD player I got for free from my mom and the turntable I got free from my cousin.

I actually have 4000 dollars in my bank account, but I am saving that for college.  And now I know that skullcandies are pretty aweful, but at that time I hadn't done any research at all.

Edit: I also do have a job.

I was able to buy my HD600 and all my other items through my rather simple job. I referee soccer for the local league in my town. Its extremely easy business, and I get paid around $30 a game, each game being roughly one hour. Christmas/Birthday/Chinese New Year money help a lot as well biggrin.gif

I afford all my stuff simply be saving a ton from gifts and the odd job here and there (scoring for sports, selling concessions, etc.). It helps a ton to be good to relatives and being examples for their children smily_headphones1.gif Thats how the gift money rolls in lol

Wish I was of age for this thread, then we can all discuss how awesome Dre Beat's really are for their value.
