I freaking love them!
The timbre of the HD600s is above everything I've ever heard, and the frequency response is almost perfectly balanced. There isnt a lot of sub bass, but the mid bass is still quite satisfying.
The mids are slightly forward and very smooth. Vocals, and the whole "center channel" are very intimate compared to other things I've heard.
The treble is laid back. While the HD600s don't do micro detail well (I'd say most of my ~$150 iems exceed it in detail retrieval) it is also very non-offensive and relaxed. Pretty much no way to get fatigued by the treble on these. Though there is a slight peak in the treble which gives drums a nice impact, but without making T's and S's sound harsh in poor recordings.
If you want something that sounds good with pretty much every genre of music, the HD600s are it. And if you're going to buy them new, you can buy them from razordogdeals for $300.
