Has anyone here had a chance to try both the Concero and the Emotiva DC-1? I'm trying to decide between the two for my Bottlehead Crack > HD 600 combo and can't find any direct comparisons.

They are very different units functionality wise. I would pick either based on what features you need. The DC-1 has pre-amp functionality and an integrated headamp. The Concero is portable and USB powered and has a fixed output with very good upsampling filters. I really liked the portability and the sound quality is excellent.

Getting Shcit Gungnir , will search about it first, also wanted to tell you that my iUSB + Gemini cable will be up for sale, free DHL fast shipping too.

I think I'm going to sell mine as well. I think if I had a personal studio for music production the concero would be the perfect unit for me. I don't think it's that good of a unit for listening to music in mysetup. The bakoon I use is already very revealing and with the concero it seems like there is a lot of thinness in the mids, like the life gets sucked out of the music. The kind of sound I get would be perfect for mixing/mastering though.

i won't sell mine XD it was the WA7 (EH tubes) that didn't have enough Treble, i bought a Pico Slim and will pair it with the concero to use my CIEM,

Yeah, I might just use the concero for a speaker setup in the other room or something.

Dani, I'm curious you found those two DACs to sound more or less the same. I have an HRT MSII + that I want to upgrade and the Resonessence Concero HD was in my short list a while ago. Lately I've been considering the Yulong U18/D18 as I'm not interested in DSD or balanced outputs (my amp would not accept those).

But, I'm still not convinced. Anyone has any suggestions? I need more PRAT, a larger soundstage and more detail retrieval to go along with an integrated amp and sensitive loudspeakers. The sound should be neutral (I think the HRT is very neutral but limited in frequency extension and soundstage. It could be that the lesser perceived PRAT is bad synergy with my amp, but I have not been able to compare other DACs on it yet.
