It will take some time to charge, up to 15 hours (true). The red light will go out on the bottom of the player. If I charge mine from 1/2 full it takes roughly 6 hours. So do not worry and let your Studio V charge until the red light goes out.

What H20 said. I just charge it when its about half way drained now as he does. I do it before going to bed. That way its done when you way up ;).

I think the beauty of this is, I've only lost one bar of battery since last week sometime.

Indeed it is. (Studio V 3rd Anv) and sounds mighty fine with ER4S. Noisy motel will have some instock soon (Australian seller) if you want to wait a week or two and skip all that shipping. Or contact Jack.

I'm not 100% on that, though have heard the UI is different. Need someone to confirm on that for you.

I trying to be carefull but maybe too much , full recharge and then full charge at first of using li-ion battery repeated in 3 cycle suppose to extend battery life , that's how they do with cell phones ,dunno how's wit studio .

I agree the Studio is easier than Nova, but why would HSA have two completely different processes for firmware updates?
is it really reasonable to expect customers to have to do this? I hope to have my own retail biz soon,(meeting Beyer tomorrow) and did a lot of market research on HSA products , everyone loved both DAPs, but the firmware fiasco just scares people off from buying. Especially current Apple users

Different SOCs require different update platforms.

It won't be in the system folder. It will be a separate folder in the root menu.

Oh man looks like I need to re-subscribe to this thread.  Did not know they were coming with a new firmware.
