I had a senior moment and almost sold mt ANV 3. I got overzealous in purge mode. Still gonna move the V and BA as I don't need them all but am keeping my fav instead of the cheapest even if they're all pretty close.

Yup, they do that to you. wink.gif

Sold my 3rd but kept the original studio, I paid $150 AUD for it about a year and a half ago, I've used it heavily. Besides the buttons no longer clicking sunken into the casing this tank of a unit just lives on. I've amped it, run several IEM and full-size , it was my ER4S main DAP for a while, everything ... Just a solid piece of kit. Haven't charged mine for about 2 months and it's still on full bars when I had it out for 30 minutes earlier tonight.

ha! sold all iems and other daps, kept the Studio 3A. ..ALL HAIL STUDIO 3A!!:veryevil:

after not using iems for a couple of months, I gave in and bought one. It should be here by the end of the week. I received an old pair of Sennheiser PX100 today, excellent pairing with the Studio 3a! Heck, I might not need those iems after all, I love the portability and simplicity of the Senns and great pairing with the Studio...

I bet your board corner screws are backing out. Take the back off snug them up and touch them with some nail polish. Should help.

I said I'd never sell it and I don't know what came over me. I think it was just that the BA is close enough for a backup and I like the AKs a bit better than these. Backup or not, I can afford the extra $100 the 3A would have got me. The older, lower impedance AKs are very synergistic with JH13fps and I like not having to convert every HiDef file if I want to have it quickly but I love the 3rd on them as well. I'm a wav guy in general but I actually prefer FLAC 0 on the 3A.

I'm cool with opening it and adjusting the screws, but how can I remove the backplate without damaging it and reapplying it? (the shiny one that's glued on)

It tends to release and can be restuck.

Thanks.,

I opened my unit and had a look inside, the board wasn't loose, it's the actual button sensors on the circuit board are simply aging from heavy use and no longer clicking. Thankfully for the design of this sensor it hasn't completely given away and stopped working for many many months. Just simply doesn't click any more, a decent press they still work.

i just discovered this player after almost a year of me coming on headfi. Shame on me. This is exactly my dream player. Simplistic, yet beautiful. Great battery, great sound (at least from what i read). No useless functions, buttons or big display. Can you please tell me, where to buy it in Europe?

Buy it direct from Jack Fu at Hisound. I will shortly be putting up a black Studio V mk2 for sale in the classifieds. A bit tatty but works beautifully.

^^^^What he said, also.

Not sure if there are "dealers" for this or not, but I bought mine from Hisound directly. Just do a search for Hisound audio and see what you get. Or email Jack directly.

Actually there is a shop in Poland, called Sonus Mobile which was selling Studio 3 ANW (I guess that they are official distributor of some HSA products). But I don't know whether they are selling only within the territory of Poland or could deliver the unit to other countries as well.

Sweet, did not know that.

HiSound is really due for a new DAP. They've already been delayed.

I suggest perhaps you wait a bit? There should be new models coming out shortly.
