Matrix M-Stage USB or Regular?

Hi, so I'll be getting a Matrix M-Stage and I'll be using it on my computer but I'll have 2 choices:

 

USB: Won't use my audio card

 

Regular: Will be connected to my M-Audio Audiophile 2496 using a dual RCA cable into the amp.

 

Which one will get me better results?

 

 

ALSO, is changing the OPA required? There seem to be much of them. Someone on another thread recommended the OPA627B, but searching through the community there seem to be a bunch of them. What is your take on this?

Looks like your soundcard should be doing a decent job of the D/A conversion. I doubt you would notice much improvement with the Matrix DAC.

I would go for the base model and see how it works with your headphones before considering any OPA upgrades.
