Early reviews = FAIL.

I'll probably end up cancelling my pre-order - I'm fine with my ATH-M50's until I find something that matches my needs a bit more. If that turns out to be the K267's once more reviews roll in, I'll get them then, but this is just too confusing.

 

Oh well, here's hoping they do well.

Eddy Flycatcher owns them, and Alpha10 has tried them for a short while. I believe one or two other people own them as well, but I can't remember the names at present.

How did they get them headphones?

Did AKG release them on different countries already? I saw AMS put an estimate for mid January or so...

1. I don't think the mids are recessed at all on the K167.
2. Yes, but they don't isolate as well as the K167.

Mids are not recessed, but in my opinion are not perfect either, just need a bit of EQ to get spot on as say a Westone UM3X, if you know these.

that's good to know, because someone here claims that the K267 doesn't isolate at all! 

btw, does build quality alone explain the price difference?  I'd expect something more for the money.

Well - since the information we're getting is scarce beyond explanation, I've gone ahead and emailed to have my order cancelled. 

 

If it turns out these are right for me, I'll get 'em, but otherwise, I rather not take the risk.
