I play guitar and do backing vocals :) I don't play live anymore now. Just record my music for fun... I had to join the real world when I had kids and got married.. ha

Its one of those things that never leaves you, if you write songs then there is always gonna be times when you need to put pen to paper. Its always the bad times... but thats when you make the best art IMO

Thank you for your reviews I have enjoyed the read. I now own the Sonic Gr07 Mk2 thanks to this site. Afterward reading your reviews I thinking of buying a full size headphone. I have been using the GR07 all the time now. I was hoping a full size for home use would be a nice mix. I see the ATH AD 900's closed phones on Amazon, that I'm considering. I read some reviews on the Sound Magic HP100 and 200 that look interesting, but I guess they are still to new for full reviews.  I have been enjoying classical at home so I can still study and relax. I'm also thinking of some of the portables because of the versatility  but for home use mainly I want some great sound quality and comfort. I'm trying to avoid the amp at this point and use my I pad. Can you help me with some suggestions?

Reading through the ATH-AD2000x/1000x/900x/700x thread again and I can't help but wish you could try a pair of ATH-AD900x's since they seem to improve on the ATH-AD900 a lot (that might be exaggerating but from what I've read, people have liked them a lot).

What do you plan on adding next to the list? I don't follow up on this thread enough to know what's been happening so far.

+1! I'd love to see David get his hands on the ad900x.

I guess the 900x would work, I'm so new I'm not sure of the difference between the closed and open phones. Also are Beyerdynamics 1350 or the ATH 9ws do they sound as good as the full size phones because it would be nice to have the portability. Are the Sound Magic HP 100 worth the chance. Thanks for helping.

Ditto here, good work, sounds pretty good.  Much talent needed for that.  Liked the Saturday Morning (drum, acoustic), also.

Hello everybody,

My quest to the headphone continue. I built an arsenal with HD800, HE6 (wait to have a replacement pairs), SR007MKI, Lambda Nova Signature and HE60. It lacks the Sigma Pro and maybe AKG K1000. My goal is to compare all these headphone with all of these available, I don't trust my sound memory. For the amp I have KGSS, SRM600LTD, Super 7, HEV70 and I search for a powerful tube amp to drive the HE6.

It's hard to rank them because each have their strength and weakness.

Currently I hear each 2-3 day and swap for another in order to know it. Then I will compare make fast shootout, I think about in one song on a precise fragment to listen each of them.

My favorite is the HE60, it has the more detailled sound, clarity, energy, air without being cold, harsh or analytical. I find him even more comfortable than the HD800. I prefer his soundstage to he HD800, it's not wide as the HD800 but it has more depth and height.  The only negative aspect is the bass that lack impact. But it is paired with the HEV70 that is a mediocre amp, i wait for a stax amp adaptor, I think it will scale up with my KGSS or SRM600LTD.

David I advise you to test the HE60 ;)
