ATH CK10 Headphone Equivalents?

Thread Starter

Longtime lurker here. My beloved CK10's bit the dust recently, and I'm wanting to make the move to a pair of headphones as I am about to start working from home and portability isn't as much of a concern, though a massive set of cans is not desirable. I listen mostly to folk, folk rock, and alternative music. I usually listen to an album over and over again for a month or so and then forget about it, but some of my favorite bands in the recent past have been Fleet Foxes, David Wax Museum, Anathallo, The Civil Wars, The Black Keys, Ben Howard, and Rodrigo Y Gabriela. I'd prefer not to have anything that requires being driven, and for something will hold up for a long time without being babied. I'm based in Hong Kong, and while I would like to procure some new phones before my trip home to the States for Christmas, I can wait for another couple of months. My budget is $250, but I could go a bit higher if necessary. A set of cans that isolated well would also be nice.I auditioned the HD25-II's, and did not like their sound, though I realize they fit a lot of my preferences.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

John

ATH-ESW9

(I made a thread asking for IEMs that sound like the CK10 a while back. I bought the CK10 and also own the ESW9.)
