Or they are fake. Or they buy them sideways from authorized dealers who receive a small cut. One thing is for sure. Whatever they are selling is not coming directly from Sennheiser.

Amazon is an authorized Sennheiser dealer. They also routinely price 650's at less than $500. This summer, the price was well below $400 off and on for several weeks dipping, IIRC, as low as $325.

No other online retailer -- that I found, anyway -- advertised similar pricing. This leads me to believe that Amazon is violating the policy (but I have no inside information about how and why Amazon sets prices.)

Keep checking this page, better use chrome's page tracker for auto alert, I got HD650 for 298$ few weeks back.

Price history for Amazon shows they have relatively recently had below $499 prices on and off. I can't see how it could possibly be legal for even a verbal contract to exist to not sell a product below a certain price, it wouldn't be any different than a signed one. A reseller could easily lodge a complaint about that and the distributor would be in trouble. They can strongly recommend or incentivise, but considering 4 places so far have all been under $400 today, I can't see that being the case.

Amazon is a U.S. corporation who probably deals with a U.S.-based Sennheiser corporation and, if so, it's not an offense, contrary to my previous statement, simply to have such a contract. Plus, although anybody can "lodge a complaint", this really means a civil suit, against Amazon, heard in a U.S. District Court against Amazon -- an expensive gamble.

Again, there is no contract.  The manufacturer just says if you go below this price X will happen.  Amazon, or any other authorized dealer, never agrees to it or even acknowledges that they received it.  So no contract, verbal or written, exists.  This is key when it comes to whether or not laws are being violated.  It is also worth mentioning that a vendor can sponsor rebates on products that are MRP regulated.  So price can fluctuate, but only when the manufacturer sponsors it.

Dakmart is probably where Sennheiser dumps refurbished cans, such as the Sennheiser 650.

For 310. The 600 at 210, is quite tempting for me.

i just received a used "Like New" pair from DAHMART, same as Dakmart as far as i can tell.  they look brand new.  not an over-statement, absolutely zero signs of wear on the pads (i doubt these have ever been worn, at all) and smell like injection-molded plastic off the factory line. honestly whenever i go looking for my next pair of headphones, i'll check DAHMART used listings on amazon first.

Yah I tried to contact Dakmart 3 times via email with no reply, so I decided that if their sales were like that, the after hours service was going to be worse.
