I'm hoping for that as well. Maybe Disney has learned their lesson with John Carter?

I've always wanted to see a darker, more psychological version of Star Wars.

I've always found the originals to blend in things too much, just like Disney does. Fairly typical of the 70s and 80s style. Limbs get cut, people get killed, scores of them, but at the end, there's always happiness. Feel Good Times.

Star Wars has always been entertaining, but never really emotionally deep.

Episode III was the closest they ever got in terms of seriousness, and thats where it started to get interesting, but then we're stuck in a time loop.

And I seriously doubt Disney will move from their position. For them its a much more economical gamble with an audience age 5+ , rather than 18+.  This way they can have twice or thrice the audience with the same movie.

Exactly why i'm worried. I am told the books right after get pretty dark. I actually ordered them to read them to see, I really have my fingers crossed x-^_^-x

I haven't read the books, but researched through the timeline on wiki sites.

Some of the characters from Yuuzhan Vong and even the Sith are pretty scary and brutal.

It'll scare the kids away!!

Funny over here it was a big nooooooo when it comes around as Disney taking it over. But well Lucas has been very good at destroying his new movies as well so I doubt it can get much worse.

If I see Johnny Depp as Yoda though....

The positive side of this is Pixar can now make Grim Fandango the animated movie. And escape from monkey Island can make for a much better adventure movie then Pirates  of the Carribean. But for gods sake no Johnny Depp :p I hope Disney take this as a way of getting into the game industry more. I am really not interested in any more star wars movie.

I consider it frightening as well.

Ah well...  Harrison Ford is gonna need some cosmetics.... :D   Hopefully Depp will be involved somehow. That would make me laugh.

Forget Yoda imagine Depp as Jar Jar Binks. Now that would be bloody amazing :D

GOOD! I hate how kids are the main focus of star wars these days. (clone wars etc) I hope this new film will cater to the old fans.
