They are good, just not up to the level of the HD800, IMO.

The LCD-2 price isn't up to that level either.

Well, if they almost sound right, but you want just a little more, you can always buy the LCD-3 off me at the meet...

OMG, I so want to attend this because I'm thinking about buying HE400s without ever having listened to them but it's my gf's niece's 1st birthday in San Antonio!

Sounds to me like you have an excuse to get out of a one-year-old's birthday party...

I wish I had known about this earlier; I could have borrowed my brother's AudioTechnica W1000X.  All I have are lame Sennheiser PC350, Total Bithead, and Hifiman RE0.

So guys, I recently contacted Alclair Custom IEMs, and borrowed a demo version of their Dual XB($300) and Crankmaster 5000($500). I have impressions but Id really love to get a second opinion on these. Would anyone be interested in seeing/hearing them? Btw no worries, I contacted them fully on the intention to see if I enjoy their sound and IEMs, not for fun and to bring more stuff to the meet.

The 5000 is supposedly for drummers and bass players. And the XB a "slightly colored bass heavy IEM". Both of these descriptions are according to alclair, id say otherwise but lets go with that.

Son, SA is just down I-35.  If you have attend an all day party for a youngster who to young to remember it and who is a niece of your girlfriend, you might be whipped!  If she loves you, she'll give you a kitchen pass after a couple of hours.

Not my thing, but the more quality stuff that is available, the better.  In any case it's fun to try equipment that isn't normally what you use or on your "A" list.  You never know...

Table ID setup is done. Will be printing these up soon. Will give you a day's notice before I actually do them all (probably Monday/Tuesday).

Name tags are done. Will be doing table ID on Monday. If you are wanting a different avatar please have it up by the end of Sunday! I'll post when they are done if you want to change it again.

This only applies to people showing gear.
