I'm basically just looking for something with good clarity across the spectrum. The Leben can be a bit soupy with most tubes.

I might need a whole table now, I'll also be bringing LCD2s, I have them on a tour from Headamp, Justin said I can bring them, I might have to borrow a stand though, the only one I have is the Senny one that clamps on my desk. frown.gif

You really aren't bringing that much size wise.

Yeah half table is good, and don't worry about stands. I prefer setting things on tables at meets anyways. Tipsy things are not good for the inevitable bump into a table.

gotcha, that'll have to do, I'll bring my clip on stand in case Justin wants me to use it.

I'd actually prefer you didn't leave anything hanging off the side of a table. Anyhow most stands do more harm than good, so I never use them. I lay mine in their boxes, and that's what I'd suggest you do if you have headphones with a storage box. Otherwise they will be fine to lay on the table. There is a table cloth on our tables so there's no risk of scuffing or scratching.

No longer taking checks via mail (not that it was a popular option anyways). Also the last day I will take PayPal is February 28th. After that, I will only take cash at the door. Please bring $20 bills (or bills adding up to exactly $20), not $50 or $100. I don't want to have to deal with a lot of bill changing.

Hurm, I better get movin' on the formalities.  Maxvla, I'll sync up with you sometime soon and send PayPal before the 28th for sure.  

 

I'm definitely still planning to head down with whatever gear I happen to have and can fit in the car; at the very least my newish weird vintage TT and recently acquired Ortofon 2M Blue which came in yesterday, and of course records.  I just signed a lease on a new apartment and my move-in is on 3/7, so my TT rig-planning has sort of had to go on hold for a bit while I get the new living arrangements sorted.  Shopping for furniture is appallingly less exciting than shopping for audio gear, I must say.   

 

But, I may also pick up a vintage Sansui AU-717 off the local Craigslist before then and if so, I'll maybe try to lug it and my TT to the meet and see how they do with Morbid's Harbeths.  

 

Never thought I'd be going to a Head-Fi meet without headphones, but there it is.  Cest la vie.  Oh, well I am actually bringing my Galaxy S3, the OTG Micro-USB cable I picked up recently, and FiiO E17, but no headphones to use with them.  But if anyone wants to mess around with OTG USB and try out lots of portable amps/smartphones/tablets, there is that!.  

 

Also need to see if the other local Dallas Head-fi'er I met is still coming, haven't chatted with him in awhile.

I will have mine there, and they will be for sale if anyone is interested. 2 weeks old with vegan pads and XLR cable, also has the sexy display box instead of the travel case they normally come with, unless you can convince a reseller to dodge Audeze's restrictions. If there are any questions or you want to reserve them, pm me.

Are you not happy with how they sound? I have been considering buying them for a long time, but I've never actually heard them... I also don't have a dac or a desktop amp at the moment, so that would also add quite a bit to the total cost after buying the cans from you... God, this meet sounds like it's going to be terrible for my checking account.
