Again. Those are great n all but JVC got my attention when Currawong who heard them. Gave them best of show in Japan that is all I need to know..I plan on getting both the FXZ100 and the FXZ200. By the way the reason why prices dropped so fast was because of JVCs strong showing of their newest.

I can see why some would think the H-100 is better than the GR07 but I don't think its better than the K3003.  I personally didn't care for it because of the thin sounding mids and highs that are just to bright for my taste.

I was thinking about going all the way and getting the FXZ200, but now that they say FXZ100 is more "balanced, I'm quite happy - will save hundred bucks for something else - most likely another iem :(

I was interested in these for a moment also and read about the highs and unsubscribed.

Oh and try this. Take the tips from your JVC FX40 and throw them on there. Then listen. The hybrid tips actually restrict a bit of the sounds. So try a wider tip.

Wow - different tips and fit. I never knew there were so many different types. Hybrids. Silicone. Double flanged. Different sized holes. And such changes to the sound with minute fitting adjustments! Wow.

I returned the fx40, so no experimenting with it's tips. But, I put on my r1 foam tips onto the xba3, and yes, they make a difference in opening up the sound. Sadly the foam tips are making my ears itchy, so I'm now using the r1's double flanged tips on the xba3 (which also seem to have wider openings than the xba3's tips), and they are sounding pretty awesome on the xba3's also. Plenty of fun!

I have some extra Auveo tips around if you want the best wide-bore tips.  They sound fantastic with the XBA-3's and the quality is top-notch.

Unfortunately I can not find my auvio tips so may have to get some kind person to buy and package and ship them to me. I did find a nice open tip though in my collection of stuff that is working well. This IEM really does improve with a tip change.

I'll provide more impressions later, but my only complaint so far with the xba3's is that they are seriously interfering with my TV watching time.

Lol. I remember the first night I had with them alone and I couldn't stop listening to them. It is ear crack.

I saw a pair of them at futureshop today!  They were $200 again! :D  But the XBA-1 was also $200 and was labelled as the XBA-2.  How confusing.

Listening to Muse at the moment. Uh yup, pretty amazing. When I came to head-fi, it was my goal to find some inexpensive jewels which would allow me to laugh at those that felt they needed to spend more. This worked well before meeting you... I got the ksc75's and px100ii's. I was pretty happy! Then I ran into you. At least you still only compelled me to buy more "inexpensive" jewels - just a lot of them lol! But then you just had to get that great deal on the xba3's at futureshop, didn't you? Which lead me also kicking and screaming to futureshop to spend what I considered to be an exorbitant amount of money on the xba3's.

As much as I'd like to return the xba3's and get all of that dough back, the chances of that happening now are pretty non-existent. Thanks. My plans have been trashed. The mocker has become the mockee. The only good thing about it is that I am really enjoying my tunes. So for that...cheers!
