Are you using a clip? I had to grab a clip off of my other iem's and use it on the xba3's to save me from being driven bonkers. Now I actually like the setup... I often need to take the drivers out of my ears (you know, like when forced to interact with people), and I find it nice how they hang on the chest out of the way, yet are ready for action :)

Im beginning to enjoy the xba-3, has anyone made a review/comparison to phones like fxt90, gr07, eph100, and other heavy hitters?

I did read eke's review, but I would like to see more :)

If you guys end up using wider bore tips for the XBA-3 and they fit kinda loose like the JVC tips. This is what I did to keep them in place.

 

700

 

You can buy these ear plugs at your local gas station or hardware shop for a couple bucks. Keeps the tips in place.

Is the ear plug part you cut off surrounding the hole? How does that help keep it in place. I would have thought it would work better if it was in the hole to make it smaller.

It is my understanding that armatures don't need physical burn in.

Mental burn in is cool though.

True but I feel they do need burn in around 24 hours of music at medium levels.  The reasoning is the tweeters for me at least sounded a bit metallic on open box and over night burn in seem to make them sound much better in this regard. The mids and the lows aren't as affected as much but it makes sense to burn them in to loosen the armatures to get the best sound out of them.

 

The donut cut out mod I like to call it works because it clamps the stem part of the tips tighter onto the nozzle. They don't fall off anymore.

Isnt this pretty much the same as the stock ones? lol

 

The foam inside my ones were ripped which led me to getting the complys, which are good but i might try to find more of the Sony hybrid foams as well.

Nope the tip sounds much better than stock. About double the width of the stock hybrid tips. Wide is key here.

Wut? These things suck. How dare they throw in 3 precision musical armatures in a very nice housing that emits pure sound into your ears. You don't want this. It is time to move on. Nothing to see here folks.

BA IEM's suck they have NO LIFE AT ALL. THEY ARE TO ANALYTICAL my original iPhone earbuds sound better than anything BA!!!! and DON'T let me get started on their HORRIBLE BASS!

You could save yourself a lot of money and get the mh1c instead. Not only do they sound quite good, but the cable is much superior. very_evil_smiley.gif
