The V-Moda is much more versatile it seems as well design wise that is.

^ Ok a rough take/ quick update on the V-Moda cable. They seem to make the Logans sound slightly airier/ softer in presentation which gives off a sense that you are listening to a set of open back portables. All the original characteristics are still intact so the crazy lush 3D-ness of these Logans plus the added air just further "opens" up their sound and is more even easy on the ears/ has less fatigue.

The stock cable is punchier/ tighter/ sharper/ and more crisp and combined with that crazy nice treble extension can be slightly fatiguing for longggg listening sessions, so the V-Moda is an good alternative for even more relaxing sound outta' these Logans.

The v moda cable will definitely fit? its 69inches long..looks solid...a good length for me.

Right now, i am quite happy with the coiled-up 10footer extention cable from my old ultrasone780.

^ It fits so well it is not even funny. Perfect fit and not only are they even more "neutral/ airier" than the stock cable, they are feather light and soft. It's long but weights like literally NOTHIN'. LoL

Seems to be build like a tank despite its weightlessness. Like all fabric covered cables there will be some slight microphonics when rubbed against your clothing but with the music on, you can't hear a thang.

I mean at this price, one has got to at least try it. HD25-1 II Aluminium / Kef M500 / NAD Viso HP50 / Focal Spirit Pro you guys gnna have to wait. Gut feeling says Fiio X5 + Martin Logan Mikros 90 a nice rebuttal to "Welcome to Head-Fi, sorry 'bout your wallet." very_evil_smiley.gif

wooahhh...Mikros owners, u have to peel that pad n LOOK at the OVALS n CIRCLEs u have under your ears man !

Do some combat zeroing...set them right.

=========

Check this out...my leftovers from Monster Ntune..the pads fit like a glove.

http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Ncredible-On-Ear-Headphones-Version/dp/B007IZNM1O

Not sure how u can get one, but i do know there are other OEMpads that should fit,

if u dun like that underwaterfeel when the MLstockpads are out of place on your ears,

then do a padswap.

edit: this redpad seems to sit better..and make the Mikros "slightly less hall-ish".

The story goes: when i had the Ntune, i bought an OEMpad with a BIGGER inner diameter,

and the NTUNE sounded LESS HALLISH. Thats y i have this pair of redundant redpads :P

Now it is doing it on the Mikros. humpfff. Let me go buy a roadside OEMpad n see what furtherhappens to the Mikros

(ignore my "english" just get the gist ..apologies )

What's the isolation like? I'm wondering if they could be worn at the gym and if they would sufficiently block out the ambient noise that goes on there.

Your welcome and welcome to the dark side 😈😎

I mainly listen to rock, prog rock and trance. If I can feel confident that they at least are not bass light, and that they don't kill the ears after 10 minutes (I wear glasses), then I will probably succumb as well.

Btw, where's Sfwalcer's impressions. C'mon already! :)
