I know... was just teasing you and expressing my disdain for having to pay (a lot) more due to being in Canada :)

Shut, I pay an extra $10.00 a pop x 2 plus shipping from Amazon. I just suck it in.

Not exactly sure what you are saying, but I can't even get the amazon.com 90's shipped to Canada. And they are not sold on amazon.ca. And on newegg.ca they are $199. The cheapest I can get them are from ebay for $99US, but after shipping and import fees they come out to $150 CN. Probably still a good price for them, but I'm not quite at the point where I want to suck that in :)

I ordered from Amazon on Friday. I pay $99.99 x 2 = $200.00 plus 1 day Fed Ex shipping from Amazon. NewEgg sells $89.99 each plus free shipping. Not much as you will have too but I still paid Amazon abt $40.00 more than with NewEgg.

How would these compare to the brainwavz hm5 and the t50rp. All three are completely different beasts i know, but I'm buying a pair of headphones right around 100, and these three headphones have the most appealing traits to me right now. According to you guys the mikros 90 is extremely well refined and true to the recording. The only thing that worries me about them is the soundstage/imaging, which tends to be sub-par with these kinds of headphones. Looking for something with a nice sense of air and placement. Someone halp me lol.

Edit: I worded that poorly, by soundstage/imaging, i mean it should have a natural presentation, uncluttered and not congested

U will need special cables, trimmed down to size, tube amps for this Mikros.
I wwill let u know next week if it works with a Samsung fone , or iPad. tongue.gif

Meanwhile...do not buy the HM5 or T50rp...
Simple reason is I sold both of them , simple? biggrin.gif

I do have a pretty nice little hybrid amp for it, the Little Dot I+. I think if i purchase the Mikros, ill end up buying a DAC to replace the e10 im using, as this thread is making me believe that it will become the bottleneck to my system.

Lorspeaker, was you T50RP stock?

My Mikros 90 is around 45 days now, approximately 250 hours. I compare by using 1. My notebook (sound blaster cinema), iPod, and FiiO X3. No surprise that X3 make Mikros show its best performance. Playing from iPod already really good, but X3 make it more lively and very good impact

Anyone tried it on a balanced amp yet??

. . . have not heard the MLs on a balanced set-up yet.  But I would sure like to.  :smile_phones:

I preferred the Mikros 90 running SE from the headphone out of the Linn Intek over the HE-6 running balanced directly from the Linn's speaker outputs.  Those were the "direct" speaker outputs inline with a DakiOm M203, tweaked with the EVS Ground Enhancers.  The HE-6 were recabled with UPOCC silver; the MLs were sporting the lowly Pipeline ET-4.

The tonality on the MLs, for me, is just so singularly compelling and commanding!  That's where, to my ears, the Mikros 90 summarily "closed the door" on the HE-6.

Not regretting that decision in the least.

Just DIGGIN' my LOGAN, Man!

Not sure why ML is not selling in CA, EU, Asia, etc.

A marketing faux pas and tactical error on their part, I fear.

Ironically, interest is piquing and demand is generating just as ML is (purportedly) pulling the Mikros 90 off the market altogether.

Stock up now, Boys: whatever is left might mean supplemental income for early retirement.  : )

About 70 days and 350-400 hours on mine, and they continue to surprise and delight my ears on a daily basis.

Might be looking into a good SS amp for the Mikros 90.  They already do well with the (hybrid) Bada PH-12 (which Fitz tweaked for me), but I can't help thinking there is "more" to these little beauties!
