Just a quick update. Will get soundstage done soon.

Just wait for the "magic" 200 mark!  : )  Then get the Pipeline!!    Then show us your checklist!!! :basshead:

I'm averaging about 4 hours per evening with mine.  This weekend I'm home.  I packed the KMF amp--but forgot the cables(!), so it will be "bread and water" upstream: Sony BDP-S580 and the headphone out from the Denon AVR-1905.

BTW, I use the DakiOm F-273 (headphone) feedback stabilizer, and enjoy its effects, too.

Music:

Angela Bofil: Angie (Buddha)

Brian Auger/Oblivion Express: Best of (Polygram)

Junior Brown: Junior High (Curb)

Neil Diamond: Best of (Columbia/Legacy)

Neil Young: Greatet Hits (Reprise/remastered)

I gotta admit that I'm listening to speakers now.  I hope that does not disqualify me.:o

Elvergun, just turn in your membership card and your Mikros 90 at the desk on your way out.  : )

Yes.  You can re-apply in six months.

Well, my noisy girlfriend came home since then, so I'm back to headphones...but I'm listening to my T5p now. :veryevil:

Haha...there probably won't be any new Mikros 90s in six months...and they will probably be a legend in the annals of Headfi. :D

Maybe, since you already ordered, I can mention your order and ask for the same size connector (PM me the info, if you could, so I can let them know who I'm referring to if I need to do that and not just reference the Mikros 90).
Thanks

Sorry, doc.  I have been up late (well, early now) reading the entire thread in one sitting and realized I did not answer you on this.

Sure.  I'll let you know when the cables are in and give you all the contact information.  Ted, the fellow building the cable(s), bought the Mikros 90, too, so he will size and match the plugs accordingly and audition the cables as well.  Martin Logan gave me the input plug barrel diameter: 6.5 mm (1/4").

Will PM you with the particulars as soon as the cables land.

mochill has some good things to say aout the FiiO RC MH1.  That's another ($30.99) option for the MLs.  Will post my impressions of the FiiO when they arrive next week, Deo volente.

And that will drive the Black Market prices on our shell-shocker stockpiles up even higher! ;)

We can then reitre early from the proceeds and have even more time to spend with the Mikros 90.

Al Martino, "Once Upon a Time", was the first cut served up this morning.

Burn-in, be it real or virtual?  The last time I listened to this selection/disc on the S580/AVR-1905 configuration, maybe three weeks or so ago(?).  Warmth in the lower mids in Al's voice that I don't recall from before.  Man, the guy can sing!  Just beautiful.

The midrange is pristine and seamlessly integrated with bass and treble.  It's hue is perfect (wait a minute--I never say "perfect").  The scale on this recording was convincingly large and "true-to-life", as well.  No soundstage issues for me here.  No issues/criticisms, period.

Good Heavens!  These Mikros 90 are going to save me a lot of green in the long run, because I am not concerned in the least about anything that might be out there right now that can touch them, dollar-for-dollar (even at their MSRP).

And my HYPE isn't even on at the moment!  : ]
