ML 90's on sale on Newegg.com on Shell Shocker at 1:00 P.M. PDT, might be worth checking out.

Ordered several different 3.5 mm connection cables from MiniInTheBox.com, wanted to see if any can stand up to the mighty Auvio cable as far as SQ is concerned. Some of the cables looked very promising. Hopefully can give results in near future.

Also ordered a couple of interesting cables on Amazon I'll see how they work out. I really don't feel the need for any modding of my ML"s except for cable . Happy Listening.

I'm fine with it sound wise its just its stickiness leads it to get caught on things too much.

I am curious about the kardon cls. I cannot find much information or reliable reviews about them.

Probably the Auvio.  Others have enjoyed the Pipeline ET-4, but it is not as fun as the Auvio and must be shaved down to fit.

Firstly, do you care if they are over ears or on ears? The DJ100's are much more comfortable that then 90's (and that's no just an opinion, that's a fact lol). As far as SQ is concerned, even though the DJ100's are pretty damned good (and that's with the stock pads), I do think that the 90's are more balanced, resolving, detailed and refined than the DJ100's. The 90's truly do have excellent extension, great bass, non-recessed and engaging mids, and beautiful highs. I am starting to re-enjoy the DJ100's and am looking forward to trying the M50 pads on them. But when I switch to the 90's, it's pretty obvious which ones sound better.

well in the conclusion theres a comparison with the bowers and wilkons p3 and the harmon kardon cl. The mls have some tough competition even at this price

I don't see the Mikros needing more warmth in the mids as stated in the digital trends review. It is the detail that makes the Mikros stand out from the crowd of "warm" headphones that are so common. So, when I read the glowing review of the CLs at digital trends, i figure my opinion might be totally different. The CL's price has jumped to just shy of $120. I'll wait until they cost less than $90 again and maybe buy a set. Thx.

I had the CL's just prior to my first pair of Mikros.  I think the MIkros are the better choice of the two.  The clarity and accuracy of the sound coming from the Mikros is superior to the CL's.  Ultimately, I returned the CL's and went back to my B&W P5's as I preferred the P5's to the CL's.  I found the CL's to have adequate but somewhat muddy bass, good mids, and highs that were just no crisp enough for me.  So, for me anyway, I would rate the CL's as follows:  CL's<<<<P5's<Mikros.  I still like the sound of the P5's.  I really like the sound out of the Mikros.

Zombywoof, thanks for the comparison. Good food for thought.

No problem.  I am also currently enjoying the Onkyo ES FC300 headphones, and find them to be on par with the P5's and Mikros.  I would say they are more similar to the Mikros with respect to clarity and separation.  They also have very nice highs.  At times the P5's sound may sound just a bit congested to me, and I don't hear the clarity in the high that I hear with the Mikros ad FC300.  I wold say that any of these...Mikros, P5 or FC300 are superior to the Harman CL's.

The FC300 is not a circumaural model, right?

Is it more comfortable than the Mikros?
