New pads are on the way. Thanks for the email and contact. Very responsive a customer oriented company.

I took the opportunity to encourage them to continue to make headphones.

They sound like the Mikros did pre burn in. They don't sound very different, but I prefer stock, but again they're not broken in yet. Let me take pics.

Put the foam from the Stock Mikros pads into that of the Qc3. Better sound coming out of them now.

Stock Mikros Pads Covers=X
Stock Mikros Foam=Y
QC3 Pad Foam=A
QC3 Pad Cover=B
QC3 Pad Hard Plate=C

ABC sounds congested. Bass is boosted, treble is slightly nerfed. Vocals are very slightly shouty. Isolation improves, as if it could get any better. Getting them to seal correctly is a near impossible task.

AB Improves this, competing with XY. Treble reduced.

BY sounds great. Basically sounds like XY with more bass, but not the bloated kind.

I ripped the plate off the foam.

The pads are the exact same size. Im not sure what i like most but BY may be it.

Not really, but again, I haven't broken in the foam yet. The Stock Mikros gets more comfortable once you break in the foam.

Isn't it time you nuts send the joker a pair of unmodded mikros and then your best specimen of MODDED MIKROS MADNESS.

Cmon people! Let's get these the publicity you claim they deserve! :D

A few weeks ago some of the posters in this thread were interested in the Harman Kardon CL.  I got a notice this morning from Shop HQ that they have them in stock for $54.97 + $6.99 shipping = $61.96.  I had these at one time and believe that the Mikros are a superior product from SQ, isolationism, and overall comfort standpoints...but at this price the CL's are a not a bad option.

CL :

If your eartip to eartip over the head is about 12inches or more,

u are very likely to have fit issues :P

( so it is best to try one out at a shop nearby b4 u hit the BUY button )

I do recall needing to use the larger of the two headbands provided with the CL to get the correct placement.  One of my issue with the CL's was the lack of isolationism.  I did not object to their SQ in a quiet environment, but my normal listening conditions are not quiet in a quiet place.  I will say, however, that at the time I had the CL's, I had not heard the Mikros.  While my acoustic memory is most likely flawed...I do not recall the CL's having anywhere near the clarity or sound stage of the Mikros.
