Joined the Mikros 90 Crazy Train yesterday (or the Martin-Logan Mikros 90 Hype Train), whichever you prefer. Purchased on Newegg.com Shell Shocker Sale, just to good to pass up.

Info. from Newegg says they'll be delivered as soon as tomorrow. We'll see.

I've located a couple of cables I might be interested in buying for the Mikros 90 on Amazon; a couple that I have not seen any comments upon. Has anyone out there used the Monoprice Gold Plated Cable and the Pluglug Cable (looks to be manufactured by Audioquest).

Comments forthcoming. Happy Listening.

Until you get to hear them, here is what we need you to do:  sit in front of a mirror and practice saying, "the Mikros 90 is great, the Mikros is the best".    Do this until you sound convincing and you feel truly ready to deceive unwary Headfiers.

Welcome to the hype.

Welcome to the hype.

Or sing to the tune of Happy Birthday:

"M90 is a dream.
Mikros 90 you're swell.
We love you Mikros 90.
The haters go to hell."

Don't loan him an umbrella, unless you want it modded into a helicopter--so be sure to invite him when it's raining.

I was comparing my 90 and re0 today listening to Norah Jones with my new purchase (iMod + C&C BH)... For some reason I don't know if it's just me.. But the 90s vocal seems to be a bit more recessed and coloured. It also lacks a bit of details compared to the re0??!

The mikros 90 mids are heavily recessed. Very v shaped.

I don't hear it that way. I think it's somewhat bright, with a rolled off but tight bass and some spikes in the treble. If the mids are less audible, I would attribute it to the treble. But I haven't had a problem with the mids on mine. My problem is that the slight brightness makes it much less genre versatile, like a Grado.

Lush forward mids is one of the best traits of these Logans just like the ATH ES700s. If you have no idea what you are talking about please stop.....
