Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones - Page 295

Guess what? I have done another 30mins of burn in time on the way back in the car straight from my 760. I can't believe I'm saying this but for some reason the sound of this headphone is starting to grow on me. Hopefully it will keep getting better with some more burn in time wink.gif

Just now getting to try out the new Mikros.  Had to boost the bass a little.  Love the details and clarity.  They sound great out of my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Poweramp.  I think they are keepers.  Excellent quality with a nice case for about $65.  Can't beat it.

The cable is thinner than expected though. If there are ever any problems with it, I'll just slap on my M80 cable.

It's like fungus man.. it grows and grows and grows on you. After 75 hours you'll be saying "I can't believe I'm saying this, but these things are sounding phenomenal!"

Two easy ways are use a CD set to repeat (switch CDs periodically) or plug into a laptop and use pink noise and white noise from http://simplynoise.com/

I just did it the lazy way and ran a playlist of 60 albums

I just did what comes naturally and I used the headphones from the moment I took them out of the box.

Hehe, that wouldn't be natural for me, I got these for classical music, which is a secondary genre for me.

Yeah that's a good way to burn them too thanks. But I think I prefer to burn them in with music and my ears so I can hear the change myself wink.gif

Btw... Anyone knows where I can get a second pair for about 70 shipped to Australia? Neweg doesn't ship outside of US.

Maybe someone from the US here can help me out? Maybe we can work out a deal? Please PM me If your willing wink.gif

Thanks

Guess I should get off my lazy butt, quit trying out my new IEM, and finally plug my M90 into my new X3.

Well, the clamp doesn't feel nearly as bad, still a nice sound too, even while walking.  This can feels like a keeper.

Guys what's your view on this,

Can some loud white noise / random noise actually harm the drivers while burn-in process?
