Hmm...  that might feel strange for some familiar music.  But couldn't hurt.  Thanks for the heads up!

Do it...we can take whatever you dish out (unless we find out we really can't take what you dish out).

Wow - you're onto something! They certainly do seal better that way because they can't rotate forward and they stay locked on the ears better. And they also look better because they sit flatter on the ears. Great find! Almost makes you wonder why they didn't design them this way.

Now if only my Colorfly C3 had the ability to swap channels! (my clip zip does, but I don't use it with the Mikros). Then again, I probably won't even notice it because I'm just that observant lol

How is the colorfly c3 as far as clarity?

Be careful. Check for imbalances with sinegen sweeps etc before doing the mod. If you hear some imbalances do not mod it.... especially if you hear the imbalance in the bass region.

why would there be? ppl been hearing issues and sending them back?

^ Alls you need is a 3.5mm male to female reverse channel adapter to switch it back to normal right/left. :)

Man i finally tried some of my other amps/ sources with these Logans and they sound like schitt!!! These Logans are some PICKY arse cans meng, cuz it truly is garbage in garbage out.

Tried the FiiO E17 amp hooked to my Nokia N9 phone and that combo sounds like utter crap, same goes with my Sansa Clip+ with the E17 amp. Sounded ok straight outta' my rockboxed Sana clip+ but sound was still meh. The amp as i suspected of the E17 is average at best, and does not do these Logans any justice at all.

Now the dac of the E17 connected to my vali is another story. Tried the E17 on my desktop with it's internal amp/dac and it sounded like crap as well, cuz of the weak sauce amp section, but when using the E17 dac with the vali as the amp LORDY LORD!!! :L3000: These Logans TRULY shine with better sources/ amps and is some picky arse schiit that love the schitt vali. LoL

edit: so for portable use these Logans still sound the best with my ipod nano/ classic hooked up via my venturecraft go-dap. :)

Welcome back from wherever you went!!!

Really? I guess I'll be able to find out whether it's the dac/amps or the headphone itself that's crap.

I'll try it on my:

Asus xonar essence one (muse edition)
Aune T1
Darkvoice
Xuelin IHIFI 760

And finally my schiit Modi, so I can see which one is the truly SCHIIT one... Lol!

Well, I have/had it as well. Not sure if it existed before I uncovered THE HOLE, or if I did something during the process. But I was able to get it balanced again, so I'm good.

Wonderful clarity. Wonderful SQ. And when paired with the C&C BH amp, it's an amazing combo. The 90's sound incredible off of them (as do many of my headphones and all of my iems).

This post by H20 got me hooked:

http://www.head-fi.org/t/637417/colorfly-c3-appreciation-and-discussion-thread/1470#post_9602235

And here are some more posts relating to clarity (from the X3 thread):

Functionality-wise, it sucks. But it sounds so good for the price that I forgive it.

Think these Logans gels better with slightly more warm yet transparent sources. That is my take on the vali anyways cuz they seem to have a very slight warmth/ smoothness to it while still is crazy transparent.  The Logans seems to have an edgy, crazy clear sound, esp with the stock cables and if your sources are bright it only makes them more fatiguing. So the more laid back/ warmer amps/dacs will provide a better balance.
