Once u hv a pair of very clearsoundg drivers..
with high extention n lowlow textures..
And the ability to project a deep soundstage,
coupled w an untapped Hole...
It is up to u to exploit its potential wrt to your gears.

Yes.

But i would probably carve it up for modding the Mikros 90.  : )

Guys guys!

I received my Mikros !! I have the Mikros!!! Woooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu listening right now at work, sounding nice out of the box however looking forward to get them home to pair them with better source.

I am still waiting for my modded T51 so that DAP will be mostly paired with Mikros 90 as portable rig.

guys what an amazing day! And thanks mostly to Pataburd who made this possible.

Thank you Pata!

Clamping force is indeed kind of painful, but I expect to soften after time and I plan to replace pads and maybe go down the rabbit hole :)

I initially love this sound even stock, stockpad, stockcable, not-burned, ****ty source ... and they sound already good.

When my colleagues saw these, they immediately told me that they cost at least 200 euros. So they were like wtf when I told them current price.

Consider me legal passenger on the train!

I stretch mine on a box slightly wider than my head while I am burning them in. This helps reduce the pressure and also dampens the noise they make while burning in.

Hmm, that's unfortunate, the v-moda cable is really quite microphonic.  The headphone I used it with before I never tried using portably.  I guess I'll have to see how microphonic the standard cable is later.

The Meelec cable I mentioned earlier fits well, if you want an android cable. I think the Vmoda cables have some added clarity but the Meelec cable is about as good as the default cable.

I should give that a try, I have an Atlas lying around I bought "like new" as a present for a friend.  I'm pretty sure its the same cable you're mentioning.

Thanks for mentioning that. The standard cable is usable. It bears a little noise above the three-button control.

Hmm...  I wonder how these will do with some ambient music, I haven't had a chance to test out the bass on these, may as well give it a try.

I tested using my wife's atlas cable. So you will be good to go.

Bananiq,

The Mikros 90 won't look a whole lot different, but you will look like this:

. . . could be indicative of adequate Mikros 90 burn-in, or it means that you just sat too close to the coal stoker on the Mikros HYPE Express . . .

Enjoying the SPACEY MOD Mikros 90, Teds UPOCC silver cable and Steely Dan's "Do It Again".

Lehmann BCL and possibly Teds UPOCC copper cable might be in by next week.

No pics of the Teds silver yet--sorry Cagin.  Maybe this weekend.
