Oh? us long hair head fiers have to move our head hair out of the way...

its so annoying to always have to move your hair out of the way before putting a headphone on, oh gosh.

Oh no they don't, it was just that they were in the same price range.

Harmans are square/40mm on ears

Martins are oval/35mm on ears.

The cls have a different sound sig to the martins, all I'm hoping for is another good deal like the one before.

My Mikros 90 should be in tomorrow according to UPS... The comments here and other places have me excited and worried all at the same time as I do struggle to like a headphone if I have comfort issues.

If you open the HOLE...
Just tape up all the sides n base n under the driver with corkchops.
( very wholesome organic tight open sound I am hearing off my iPad..strongly recommended)

its a bad bad halfblindpasting job...lolz.

If u didn't open the hole...
Do the same, but use that thin foam under the drivers.
( it sounded like the above but with the bass not projecting as LOW, still v good.)

Save your wife's leather bag..or blue tac or felt...for later, if u are still curious.

Quick headsup on the CL..steel headband kinda short...n its fixed length.
As such the 2 rectangular pads cant closedown on my elephant ears that well.
I hv to slant it 10degrees off the vertical to get a seal of sorts.
Soundwise..quite clear highs...not sure about the bass cos i didnt get a gud seal.

Not sure how they felt.

But after a lengthy discussion with Scott Gribble the other day, Martin Logan still seems bent on permanently removing the Mikros 90 from the marketplace.

Sounds like ML thought they had spread themselves too thin venturing into the headphones market.

They just need to be patient, I think, and let their fine product "sell itself".

Not sure, though, where the "break-even point" is, or where the "street price" for these gems would ultimately settle down--IF they were to remain in the market.

Customers are gleefully dropping something in the neighborhood of $250 for the KEF M500, and I think the Mikros 90 are at least that caliber--NO, better.

Mikros 90 SPACEYMOD with the Auvio cable running off my work rig [playing pop tunes] getting the most headtime lately.

I am taking [what were formerly] bhazard's stock pair home this weekend and am tempted to pull them apart after a little more burn in.

It's either that, or do some stock-to-stock a/b-ing with two ML90s with equivalent burn-in times.

I have a few Mikros 90 left to give as gifts, but I think I am going to mod them first.

Had the CL's...returned them.  The design and fit is a bit different, but not bad.  I would not rate the SQ (clarity, separation, depth or width of soundstage) as good as the Mikros.  Passive isolation is not comparable to the Mikros.
