Used the Mikros for the first time on a flight...short one, only one hour to Phillie. I was sitting over the wing, behind the engine...must be the noisiest spot on the plane. They didn't fare too bad. Normally I would use my Denon NC732 (which I don't believe are made any longer...shame, they are sweet). I would say the Mikros did pretty well. They isolate the engine noise much better than I would have expected, but do absolutely nothing to impair you from hearing the annoying announcements, unfortunately. Used them straight out of my iPod Classic. I don't know if they will replace my Denon's for air travel...but, then again, it would be nice to only have to pack one set of phones. I can't bring myself to leave my Mikros at home. Outside of a the NC feature, the Denon's can't touch the 90's.
