Ah, I didn't know whether it was an easy-peeling sticker or one of those that's prone to tearing. Then I shall remove my stickers and maybe try the papery woven stuff.

I'm not sure I feel I need much more bass, but I am hoping to add a bit of warmth to the mids or tame whatever peaks are fatiguing my ears. It's still like another twenty hours before I've definitely passed the 80-hour mark. Maybe they will magically mellow out in that time.

I had been using my Amperiors for work, but that has ended, I am using my modded ML's now. I about jumped out of my skin on the opening note of Neil Young's "Le Noise" , the deep bass is so visceral, the entire album has OMG moments, highly recommended if you haven't listened to it yet. For work the isolation is at least 4 times better than the Amperiors, my work is pretty noisy, when all the SMT machines are running and the wash is active there is a constant din of noise, placing the Mikros over my ears the noisy world melts away and I can jam in peace. I am gone for a couple days and the forum is 25 + pages larger. I can only imagine in that time a few newbies recieved theyre ML's and loving them I hope. Is there still any pressure to open an opinions only thread ?   Oh wells , loving my headphones.. hope everyone else is loving them too.

Ha...this morning I was using an old pair of PX200s...and then my co-workers got really noisy (talking, joking around).  I switched to the Mirkros 90:  Problem solved.

What are you complaining about?   It gives you something to do while you listen to Neil Young.

I worked mine off very gingerly with the edge of my trusty--and sharp--Schrade pocket knife, then used tweezers, with the second pair.  Both intact.

Completely destroyed both Port Stickers [take-off on pot stickers] on the first pair I modded, though.

I cannot reconcile with headphones that are rectangular like that. It looks like two smartphones strapped to someone's head.

You have that sexy little leather and chrome thing. Whatchoo lookin' at other headphones for?

And no, I have no idea about how they sound. All I know is my minimal Harmon Kardon experience has given me the impression of valuing form over function.

Don't know.  Never heard it.

BUT, the Lehmann Black Cube Linear is on its way from Deutschland as we speak!!!

Been running the Mikros 90 at home with the PS Audio GCHA.  BASS is just about the best I have heard with a SS headamp so far.

I can't find the $3 auvio cable anymore. I did see it on radioshack website before this week, and the "find it nearby" inventory check showed in stock at one of my local stores. So I went to that store but could not find it anywhere. There was a radio shack lettering branded one, but it rang up as $20. So when I got home I checked the radio shack website again but I can't even find the listing anymore.

My local store said in stock and when I went, I found it mixed in with the 3ft cable that isn't on sale.  Look for the 6ft cable.

Radio Shack stock checker doesn't work properly.  Even if you put 20 miles, it still only searches 5 miles.  Therefore, try multiple zip codes.

EDIT:  Too bad it's no longer on the website to check stock.  Bummer.

Would it be worth it to shell out money for the mikros if one already owns the Vmoda M80?

It depends.  If you love the bass of the M80 you might not like the Mikros.   These two models are worlds apart - one is refined and analytical, the other one is a bass cannon created to rattle your brain.

You can always modify the Mikros to get sound closer to the M80 if you are a basshead.   Perhaps you will find out that you are not a basshead after all and you will be able to enjoy the Mikros in its stock form.

^ LoL

Lets just say the Logans @ $65 makes the Vmoda M80s $40 clearance price @ Radioshack seem overpriced. ;)
