That's true, I used party streamer as per Darknet's suggestion, because my original hole sealer stuff was toast. I wonder what material would be the equivalent of the original sealer?
You mean on the underside of the drivers? Yup, that pic I posted above showed it. Man it was tricky getting it onto the left driver though without wire destruction! Glad I didn't have too many cups of coffee beforehand :)
I would sum up the 90's in one word, "clarity." This may not be an audiophilic description, but I believe this quality is where these phones really shine. The Pink Floyd reference made by Nimzerz earlier in the thread is one example. Following the reference in his post I wet back and listened to Animals...remarkable. I use "Magic Bus" from The Ultimate Who Collection as my benchmark. Early Who albums are notoriously bad recordings. I don't know the origins of this recording of Magic Bus but on the Mikros it is...magical. The percussion, acoustic guitar, bass, and vocals are each in a separate space inside your head. This clarity manifests itself as incredible spaciousness that I have not heard before. On other phones I have owned or heard this song sounds congested like everything is crammed into the center. Now I have heard as it was intended to be heard. Try it, you'll like it. Before I was hooked by this thread I had it my mind to upgrade from my P5's to the P7. Went to Best Buy today with $$$ and my rig, and tested the P7's in the Magnolia section. Not even a close second to the 90's. The store guy lurking over my shoulder said he had just got his P7's...best phones he ever heard. I unplugged my rig, put it back in my pocket, smiled, and said "sorry to hear that." I'll keep my $$$ to spend another day.
Yup, addictive bunny magic!
I was going to ask about that... what does that do when i wrap it around the hole? Also should I lay it in the cup too?
