Ha! My friend, one thing that we will probably always disagree about is how good the M500's are. But one thing that we will never disagree about is how good the Mikros 90's are!

If i havent gotten the Mikros , i would hav settled for the KEF500...n double side taped it to my smoothen shinny head.

On 2nd tot, i would also be happy with the BEATS EXECUTIVE..if it goes on BlackFRi or GoodFri.. :P

+1

It's like the whole soundscape expands and the Mikros 90 exude larger volumes of musical everything.

Bass is not bloated at all.  It remains balanced, but gets upgraded to "formidable".

WOW!! JRock + Fiio X3 + Mikros 90 + Plus reverse pad mod (similar to the reverse l-cush mod for Grados) +treble boost= the next level. The soundstage FINALLY opens up!!

So... explain the mod more and it's effects on the FR and tell me if I should do it or not

Nim,

Check Lors' signature.

It's his latest and favorite mod.

Plus it's reversible if you don't like it.

But you need to wait until your stock pair settles down.

I use my stock set at work and the modded set at home and enjoy both.

Hey, gotta do what I gotta do. I don't need a treble boost for the MA900 though. Don't know what that's about.
The sibilance is nonexistent now.
