While you guys open and close your headphones, measure this and that, cut little leather pieces and examine every little crevasse to see what you can mod next, I just sit back and listen to the sweet sounds of the stock M90.

Hmmm...I just realized something...

Since most of you have an extra pair of M90s, you might be sitting back and listening to the sweet sounds of the stock M90 while you mod the f#%@ out of the extra set.

You guys are still nuts though.

Because open headphones are, quite frankly, better (yeah, I said it) than closed headphones at everything but bass.

Not been my take on them, tend to like closed better. Sure, soundstage wider on open, but I usually hear some loss of tone color in the music on most open phones I've listened to, over ear and iems. Not universal, but common enough imo.

i have little airtime for open cans...cos of the environment.

But right this moment, very quiet here..

the LCD is giving me a big grin...that controlled power projected into that big sense of space, awesome !

In general , i prefer closed can for intimacy, privacy..that slight hall-ish ambience.

I knew the tubes had a purpose, it was really to obvious, I like the down idea, don't cut off the space, but maybe dampen it a bit.

First thing I will say: How do people consider these bass-light? I feel like it is somewhat emphasized especially with a mid-bass hump it seems?

Although uppermids-treble might seem a little wonky, it is VERY smooth and non-fatiguing without being too rolled off IMO

Tonality--great

Very bloomy sounding though. Hope it thins out a little bit?

Yes, Lamb of God, with the horrifically fast drums, you get it all, it really is eargasmic if you love metal Like I do

To answer everyone else's initial question of bass-light.

The hater headfier: I will listen to these mikros at a best buy store full of pandemonium! I'm bound to get the SQ characteristics within the first few minutes!

TOTALLY NOT GOING TO SOUND BASS-LIGHT.

and then the hater realized that it was bass-light and decided to spread the news to every logian in this thread...

The end.
