I also know I won't regret my decision because at this point I'm willing to pay 80$ just to see what the fuss is about, there is so much hype - fulfilling my curiosity at this point is just totally worth it :D

At the same time a large part of this hobby for me is trying out new headphones and these rarer ones and hyped ones are always very interesting. I haven't bought many phones yet, only 4, they have all lived up to the expectations I have had for them.

I disagree with the amount of hype and how everything is so good no matter what you do to this phone because it is becoming a turnoff for people. I'm pretty sure these phones would be getting more attention from people if the guys here would be a little more modest and wouldn't write an article about everything they experience while this phone is on their heads - but that's just my opinion and can be just as wrong as anyones experience with a headphone :D

^ Welcome aboard!!!

At such low prices i can't see how you HAVEN"T got these in yet, esp. if you live in the States tbh. Same for me as well, cuz A LOT of the hyped gears that i have tried has indeed lived up to their hype for me, but that is probably cuz i am a noob so my standards/ experiences are a bit lower. But still i think i have tried/ messed around with enough budget-fi gears to have a firm grasp on what truly warrants their hype and what doesn't.

Think i have honestly placed exactly where these Logans are on my headphone hierarchy and they are one of the best i have heard to date without a doubt. So yeah these Logans has MORE than lived up to their hype for me. Not sure if they are better the the Chinaman HE-500s or the HE-6s, which Pata seems to think, but hey it's his personal preference and opinion and we need to take everyones impressions with a grain of salt anyways....... I am happy that he loves these Logans so much and is just glad to have such a passionate bunch on this Logan Madhouse so we can all participate in this social hype experiment. : P

Hey where is the fun in that if you can't clown around, hyperbole and all. But i doubt anyone here is making stuff up and is hyping for the sake of hyping. Some of the enthusiasm might come off as hype or what nots but it seems everyone is sincere regarding their findings and is truly excited in what they are hearing. That was why i replied to nechrows post that he should just express how he really felt about these Logans openly instead of posting on other threads cuz he should not feel pressured to do so. Making this thread and impressions as transparent as possible is very important to truly know how these cans perform, so we can all learn from it.

If it is a turn-off, so be it.  This thread needs no shrinking violets.  It needs brave hype-artists who are prepared to go head-to-head with those who continue to spin the anti-hype from the early bad press that these headphones unjustly bore.

If people want to cast judgment and aspersions without actually having seriously listened to the Mikros 90, then, frankly, they are encouraged to "sew" elsewhere.

The Mikros 90 will shatter your preconceptions.

As I have stated many times already: The Mikros 90 are the best headphones I have ever heard or owned to date.

That is not "HYPE".  That is simply the way it is for me.

Welp, this is my last old man post but my point is if you are "righting a wrong" I think you are going the wrong way about it by not being a touch more modest and contained in what you do here. You kinda can't "right this wrong" and still go with the "if you dont like it go elsewhere"

You are either trying to appeal to people or not...  If the wrong was to make these headphones unappealing by saying they are bad - going overboard in the other direction is going to do the same especially on these forums that have a lot of over hype threads with people that have gotten "burned" (i.e. they are trying to blame others for poor choices in headphones which I disagree with).

You make a solid point mate. I'm not in the states but I will have a relative hand delivering these to me, so it will just be the 80 bucks which is extremely nice!

The wait is pretty long and on top of that I haven't been as excited for a headphone ever, but I'll just spam this thread to kill time!

^ Nah think you are misinterpreting Pata's point a bit. He is not saying what he is on a crusade to FORCE these Logans down the throats of peps, but is just merely saying that we as fans of these Logans SHOULD not change the way we express our passion for these cans just cuz it might rub off wrong for others. So basically we should be more PC with it. But i say Fff political correctness, cuz if peps don't like it they are not forced to read nor participate here.

Peps come and go and post as they wish, so they should not feel any pressure whatsoever here. If you don't like them say so, if you do hey mo' power to ya'.  But we have the right to express how we truly feel about it, and clowning around just makes it that much more fun so.......

It is what it is meng, and we ain't changing a damn thang as long as you are genuine with it. haha

The thing is...there aren't that many haters.  It is incredible that most people like them.  Even those who are not head-over-heels in love actually enjoy them and participate in this thread.

Most of the "haters" turn into fans after the burn in period.

It's one big lovefest in here.

Predator and Pata,

I received the cable today, but I won't be able to use it until Monday since I left the 90s at work.  :frown:

No.

Trying to appeal to people is politics.

We are simply trying to get folks to give the Mikros 90 a fair shot, then decide for themselves whether the MLs warrant the accolades.

Been there. Said that. Had my doubts but the hype critical mass got the best of me. So I bit, but I still wasn't expecting miracles.

That was then. :D

Last nite I listened to Audiophile Voices series...
Vocals r so palpable..little hints of swallowing..sucking of air, clearing of throats..
Shimmer, texture of the percussion..coming thru...
To give me a sense of Being There.
Love it.

Here you go:

http://www.head-fi.org/t/694010/comparison-of-sennheiser-amperior-beyerdynamic-dt-1350-martin-logan-micros-90-and-yamaha-hph-200-or-how-i-spent-my-winter-vacation#post_10077130

Funny, I am currently using two pair.  On one I have to tilt the headband forward to prevent that "ready-to-flip-off-any-minute-now" tendency; but on the other pair I have to tilt the headband backward.  I can feel the spring/torsion in the headband skewing things just a bit off center on the second pair, but not on the first.

Personally, I have never found the Mikros 90 fit unduly uncomfortable.  I usually have the front edge of the ear cup bearing on the mandibular spot that you describe.

Awesome. You guys are very helpful and it's much appreciated.

Just to double check. When the headphones are on and you have a good seal and perfect sound, the back of the earcups will still stick out a little bit compared to the front of the cup. So, the cups do not sit perfectly flat even though they remain touching your ear. From your explanations, I'm assuming this is the norm. Also, when I have them on and happen to look down, like say at the floor directly in front of me, the swivel issue I described increases a lot and I almost always have to readjust. You guys have the same problem?

And one last, slightly different issue. When the earcups swivel(Like when you are putting the phones on and readjusting for proper fit), I get a creaking noise. From outside the headphone you can't hear it. When they phones are on and music is playing it's mostly inaudible but still present. When you put them on before music is playing it's pretty loud and getting a bit annoying. Anyone else have this issue and is it worth requesting an exchange for a new pair?

No creaking noise from my pair.  It could be that you are talking about the driver flex some owners have mentioned.  If that's the case, exchanging them will do you no good.   Do you get the noise only when you press against the cups when you have them on?
