Two of those headphones under those three mikros are left to become...one of them..

ONE OF THEM...

ONE OF THEM

Eeny, meeny, miny, moe?

Eeny, meeny, miny, mo.   Throw the Grado out the door.  If he hollers, make him pay, fifty dollars every day (for a Mikros).

^ Hate to crash the :beerchug: party, but i have some great news.

The FiiO E17s which i assume has a warm/ punchier/ and more "color" dac connected to the Schiit Vali amp brings home the bacon outta' these Logans boi!!! :basshead:

Even with the stock cable the bass punch, weight and QUANTITY increased by a pretty substantial amount. It's like the stock cable sound on roids!!! :eek: The must musical, audiophile basshead worthy i have heard these Logans, color me truly AMAZED regarding how well these scale and adapt to different sources.

Via the very neutral Audinst  MX1 amp/dac sounded alright when hooked to the Vali but the extra warmth of the FiiO E17 dac with the Vali is UBER SWEET!!!!:L3000:

For those that feel that these Logans sounds a bit thin/lean in the bass department if you have a powerful DAP/AMP that has a clean and warm sound such as the FiiO X3s or the E12 it might just make these Logans sound very musical even with the stock cable. There seems to more changes in sound from change of amps/dacs than from cable changes. Well at least the changes in sound is more dramatic with sources......

Will see how they gel with a brighter DAC such as the ELE DAC later on. :)

IS FIIO E6 GUD?

I HOP ZO!

I actually hope it is enough to power these, I still can't find the fiio e6 anywhere yet... jeeze.

If not, I'm just going to get the fiio e17 dac later on, or some other dac.

Best price i have seen the E17s and the X3s, and a total of $160 shipped for both is a no brainer stupid sweet deal. :eek:

Picked up my hd650, D7k lastnite...neglected my bigcans for a fewdays..

both sounded "muffled" suddenly ...sigh, they fear their days are numbered..

..dammmikros...:angry_face:

=======================

For on-ears, i tend to place them further back, (more to the left of that paraburd pic )

my ear canals are angled straight out left n right...not angled to the front like Pataburd's ..lolz

======================

Fiio cable is too short for me, hmmm...unless i feel rich n want another to experiment,

quite happy with the Vmoda cable..that airiness works for my ipad.

My home sonic distortioner...

Must buys....

Hmm, don't those Brainwavz HM9 earpads look like they might be perfect for these? Pity they're not sold separately. I've sent Brainwavz a request that they make them, as well as their IEM tips, available for purchase separately. I'll give the HM5 pads a try on these when they come, but those HM9 pads just look so nice and plush.

^ Nah the HM5 pads are full size and are deep. I have them but haven't tried them on these Logans yet cuz it seems wayyy to big for them. And they are on my modded set of JVC S500s so is too lazy to take them apart. : P

I've sewn up my HM5 pads slightly so they can fit on smaller cans. I did that with the S500s. I currently have them on my MS1s with L-Cush pads stuffed in them to make the fit better, which I know is unusual, but it works for me. I figure the HM5s might fit on the Mikros between pad-on-pad and the fact that I've sewn them up slightly.

I blame Lorspeaker for threadbombing and getting me over here.  Consider yourself on notice....  :deadhorse:   :biggrin:

All kidding aside, I'm definitely looking forward to hearing these!  Sounds like they could be right up my alley sound-wise, and definitely up my alley price-wise.  Was looking at Shure SRH-1540's and willing to spend that kind of cash on it.  I'm continually hitting refresh on my UPS tracking page.....c'mon UPS!!
