^ Man all these cable rollin' is gonna cost me a fortune. LMAO :triportsad:

Let me get the FiiO cable in next week and i'll report back my findings, along with that el cheapo beats one. haha

^ Thanks guys! Please allow me to sit back while you all do the hard work. And please inform me which cable I should get once all of the dust settles!

:beerchug:

p.s. I sent Sf a PM saying that there is NO WAY the Mikros 90's are going to sound better than the M500's. The M500's are awesome (listening to some Jeff Beck... edit Dave Mathews... on them as well speak - nice). But, since I have the 90's on the way, I won't be devastated if I end up eating crow :)

I use ATH-ESW-11LTD and Mikros 90 during working hour, and ATH-W1000 in my bed room.

I test 11LTD and 90 back and forth using X3 DAP. Conclusions from my old ears are

  1. I like sound stage of Mikros
  2. I can hear more details in high frequency from Mikros (this really annoy me too much, why on earth that 90$ phone blow my 700$ phone away)
  3. Mikros has a better tonal balance for my taste but some time I also want more fun feeling that I can get from 11LTD
  4. Female vocal seem to be more pleasure on Mikros. 11LTD also do good job, but high note from female vocal on 11LTD make me not so comfortable
  5. Only week point on Mikros is bass. Don't get me wrong, I'm 51 and not bass head. I listen to vocal, jazz and some classical. When I talk about bass, I mean double bass from standard jazz or bass from contemporary jazz such as four play, Grover Washington, etc

I will try Mikros with some better player such as AK120 or HM901. If it make Mikros better in low frequency area, I will buy another one as spare.

Yes, I was already factoring in this...

There is nothing lacking in the M500's bass. I bet that our friend @mikroski would enjoy the double bass with them :p

edit: @mikroski, would you mind linking me up to a good example to listen to? Thanks.

These got amazing clean fast punchy bass but just doesn't have that voluptuous/ fullness that most bass centric cans have.

You know even a semi-bass head such as myself i am pretty damn happy with the bass presentation/ quality of these Logans, but i was thinking last night when i was listening to them that if these Logans had that clean/ full/ and transparent qualities of the ATH WS99s, this lil' can would be truly unstoppable. Just imagine if these have more extension/ fullness/ texture in their sub bass also some added volume in their mid bass as well, MY GOD!!! G.G GAME OVA' ENDGAME FO' SHO!!! :basshead:

There might be some crazy modder in the near future that can mod them to achieve this cuz they hype train is taking off on these so there is hope due to the growing fan base.

I just saw your above post though. Fwiw, I did very much appreciate the otherwise high praise that @mikroski was giving the 90's. That, and yours, and everyone else's hype is why I got them and am pretty sure that at the very least, I will enjoy having them as a "reference" type of headphone. And if I end up loving them, then all the better :)

But back to the bass, it will be interesting to see how I feel about it from the 90's. Only time will tell!

Glad to hear wayne, it'll be worth the weight.--Gaben

Mikros pro100 are now cancelled

And @Endcode

Be very scared, your headphone collection will find its way at a the garage sale. :D

I know my collection will.

Except the ws99s, the re700s, and uh...my iems.

never watched this show.

LOVE the song though. The martins sound awesome with this song, with the re700s coming at a close second.

Best 3d presentation from both.

To be fair, I do compare between Mikros and ESW11LTD,

And with further discussion with elvergun, I said that my main hobby is in two channels and I know how double bass will sound and then you assume that I compare Mikros with my $15,000+ system?

Even $10,000 bookshelves speakers can not deliver the bass in the same level of $5,000 floor standing speaker (both quantity and quality)?  Why on earth, I will compare floor standing speaker with tiny headphones?

Read my comparison again, it's between Mikros 90 and ESW11LTD. I give Mikros more favor 4 from 5 areas. And seem that it's not enough for Mikros fan here!!

I'm a royalty fan of Martin Logan speaker for 30 years and I always share opinion with all others without any problem.

So the best way not to annoy people here anymore, I will not comment any thing in this thread again.

You weren't annoying anyone, and I think that many of us appreciated your impressions (I know that I did).

If you do decide to stick around....

mikroski, it's not enough for the re700 fans either, :P oh wait, I mean fan.

In all due seriousness, you are fine, no one is mad or debating against you. It's just a misunderstanding, please continue to provide your impressions and comparisons of the mikrons.

Besides, you have MIKRO in your name. This means you have the rights to give your impressions, despite people getting annoyed by you, as you are truly dedicated to the martins. (Though you did not truly annoy anyone, just created a misunderstanding due to word choice).

and +1 to wayne.
