Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones - Page 70

I hate you guys.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826532001

I just bought one, and I don't even really have a use for one. But for $70, I couldn't say no.

Lorspeaker,

Thanks for the tip!

I just ordered the 3.25"x3.8"x3/4" pads from Softround

I'll let you know how they fit, and how well they keep them in position on my head.

I'm in for one as well. I knew Newegg was gonna do something with the price again. I also get another $10 off ($10 off $50 purchase Paypal offer this month) so down to $59.

Gonna make a nice complement to the warmer, fun sounding HM9 which is more of a home can due to it's heft. It's over twice the weight of the Mikros :) They also fall right in between as my PMX95 is a third of the weight of the Mikros. So, I have small, medium, large and fun, detailed, and smooth signatures.

Says Monday delivery as well with the free shipping. Believable as a couple of my previous Saturday Newegg purchases have shown up on the Monday after.

Where did you get the $10 off $50 coupon?

An email from Paypal for my Smart Connect card. Not for Paypal balance purchases, only using the card. I could have gotten $15 off $50 but I purchased from Newegg site. $15 off if I had purchased from the Newegg ebay listing. I had activated the non-ebay one. Not sure if i could have done both or whatever.

What a difference( $30) a day makes:)

Anyhow, the good old fashioned wait; 6-8 weeks for a Visa cash card and two billing cycles for a Paypal statement credit.

Welcome to the club.   You won't regret it...and if you do, you are only down $59.

However, wearing these walking my dogs, the narrow headband makes them slip alot.

I know how position dependent these are for SQ, and was wondering if anyone has modded the headband.

I've seen some Beyerdynamic replacement headbands for sale. Do you guys think they would work?

You can bend the stock headbands to fit your skull, which makes them stay on your head a lot better, just experiment, and try to get as much contact area  as possible, stock they are very oval profile. I emailed ML about this, in an earlier post and they say it was designed to be bent/ adjusted, so go for it.

Yeah, I read that post and stretched them to fit my large noggin

That helped lots, but they still move quite a bit when I walk around

I'll see how the bigger pads help when they get here

If they still move about, I'll try to remove the stock headband and put on a Beyerdynamic band?

Should I match my Mikros 90s with an E07K?
