Dubstep...

The reason our younger generation likes dubstep is because they never had to listen to the sound of a modem dialling up to connect to the internet...biggrin.gif

Sorry heard this joke today and had to share....smily_headphones1.gif

i hate dubcrap.

There's plenty of good Dubstep...

Burial, James Blake, Amon Tobin, Truth, Lorn, KOAN Sound, Blackmill, Seven Lions...I could keep going.

The farthest from 'the norm' on that list are probably Burial, Blackmill, and Lorn...If you guys actually want to give it another shot. Blackmill is magic (I'd call it Euphoric Dubstep).

Burial is one of the most original artists in years, IMO. The things that guys does with something as simple as SoundForge is amazing.

EDIT: Troll thread isn't even in the right section.

People can think what they want but there's never really a reason to post a thread like this. rolleyes.gif

It feels like so long ago when dial up was actually the way it worked. lol

It was just for humor and that is why it was posted here in the lounge , jeeze ...

BTW, I didn't even see/read the second post when I did my y-tube search, just to add to the humor . Lighten-up, jeeze ;')

If you remixed the dial up tones, I'd listen to it again. It's almost nostalgic.

I enjoy dubstep, but in small dosages. My main gripe with dubstep is that most of the mainstream artists are not that good. Personally, I'm a huge Bassnectar fan because he can switch it up from genre to genre. His latest podcast can be found here...

... if you are a basshead, enjoy L3000.gif

I think I've just fallen in love with Blackmill!

You might like Soular Order then, too. He's like if Burial and Blackmill had a really awesome baby.

Agreed. It irritates me to see people view a certain genre of anything to be crap, and immediately affiliate it with junk. I don't enjoy dubstep that much, but something like Blackmill (still technically dubstep) is pretty enjoyable; at the same time everyone has different tastes to what they look for in music.

I've checked out a few of his tracks and I think they're great. Thanks for the recommendation!
