Nope.

We can check out anytime we like, but we can never leave. It's a sick family thing.

All this talk of bleeding and killing. I thought this was a civilised forum.

Actually there was a point to my little jest. Some of us do tend to use very colourful language which could be misleading to newbies.

"A blows B out of the water." Translation: "I'm positive I noticed a difference today. Not sure if it'll still be there tomorrow though."

"A totally destroys B. No comparison whatsoever." Translation: "Under certain circumstances, with my direct-to-disc gold LP and my new Esoteric X11 pre-amp, there is a noticeably difference, but I wouldn't bet my life on picking it in a double blind test."

Best not to be too militaristic when it comes to audio. tongue.gif

I know exactly what you mean like when I make comments like the following.

"That dynamic headphone sounded veiled compared to my orthos." Translation: I'm listening to my orthos now, btw, I just returned from my ear doctor's office, got a really good ear dewaxing.

Hi,

Both are good but from my own experience i prefer HE500 because i have spent some time with this at my home. You find the features like HE6 OCC balanced cable and a Red Wine Audio Isabella LFP-V w/ also a balanced headphone out make it an attractive one also sounded well if you will give it right sources or components.

About a year ago I bought a little tube/dac combo made in china... I got a bargain on it from a supplier in uk. Think it was about £99 reduced from £220 and it was to keep me going until I got something suitable for my (then) RS1's. Anyways.. I completely forgot about it as it has been hiding in my "crap n wires" draw. When I stumbled across it yesterday I thought mmm..? Wonder what the amp section sounds like with my Orthos phones. Well let me tell you guys something!

It blows my other amps into obliteration! Kicks them in the proverbials and molests them in the power regions. Slashes them in the upper frequencies and kidney blows them in the lower end. Mutilates them in the mids, and decapitates them in the soundstage department....

But seriously bigsmile_face.gif it does sound very good... I only used it a couple of times with my Grado's and didn't like it. Its got so much power!

It's the Mistral HP509. A very heavy 1 tube hybrid amp. Havent looked inside and have no clue about the schematics.

I'm now hearing a lot more detail and speed in the treble on the HE500's and the bass in just Wooahowza!

It's put a very big smile on my face! ksc75smile.gif

I won't have anyone say anything bad about lugbug. He's only violent when he hears a substantially better amp.

I'd say everyone here lives far away from you. Do they actually have headphones in Holland or do they just put clogs on their ears?
