To me a perfect all-rounder headphones must be comfortable too, I want to use it for hours and in this case I even prefer the HD600 to HE-500.

Well your Lyr shouldn't have a problem driving an HD600.:D

Sure, but I don't need an HD600 since I have HD650 and T1.

But they sound different.

Which of them?  The T1, HE-500 and HD600 are all-rounder headphones, they sound different but they do a same job, IMO.

+1.

Which one you chose will depend on the flavor and your personal preference.

Shall I start a debate again about how I think the HE-500 and the T1 are also on the same level and that price plays a big role? wink.gif

I'll have to wait for the honeymoon period with the HD800 to be over, but I have hardly touched my HE-500 since they've arrived. And my jergpads just came in yesterday. Normally, I would be spending a lot of time trying something new like that out, but the HD800 is still on my head. Anyone else found the vocals on the HD800 to be more forward for both male and female?

OK, same level in sound quality but the T1 is 20% more expensive and 600% more conformable than the HE-500.  ;)

You are not going to get an argument from me on this one even though I have no comfort issue with HE500.  Those beyers are like ear muffs.  :p

Shall we change the name of this thread to include the T1? No :veryevil:

I think the HD800 and the HE-500 are not on the same category (I’m not talking about the sound quality level) and they are not comparable. The HD800 is good for classical, new age and acoustic music and I've not found any headphones better than the HD800 for these genres.

The HE-500s are all-rounder headphones that means they’re good (but not the best) for all genres.
