I upgraded my fuses so they now have electrical continuity from one end to the other..

Makes a world of difference to tonality.

Which ones?

Ayon Skylla 2, and Reimyo DAP-999EX

I've been thinking about about a fuse upgrade.  May I ask which fuses you all like?

Hi Fi tuning supreme fuses.

I don't care personally, the manufacturers I trust to make my amps/preamps/DACs I also trust to make good choices for fuses, especially ones in the signal path.

I only mentioned fuses by rsbrsvp's Ayon as it may have been one thing that drove the price up so high.

Check the thread, lots of impressions there. They sound really good with the GSX mk2 if that is what you are asking.

I bought the DACT version but 12 weeks? I don't think i can wait that long :(

Should I buy RSA apache instead? They seem to be around similar price.

12 weeks? I wish! But I hear it's worth the wait. I am relatively lucky and only ordered about 12 weeks ago. Some people have been waiting much longer.

Now I need a DAC to complement my GS-X.

I saw a guy who asked a same question, but my budget is lower ==> 2.5k max.

Can anyone recommend me one?

PWD MK II (MK I upgraded preferred)
NAD M51
Lynx Hilo
Weiss 202 (Used)
AGD M7 (haven't heard but have heard it is very good, especially with a good usb converter)
Buffalo III (especially if you have solder skills)

No one pays MSRP on the PWD2.  So my goto at ~$2500 is still the PWD2.  The slightly lower cost Bryston BDA-2 is also quite good.
