Very confusing.

someday i hope to have enough time to not be confusing. when i update the order page i will just add a note that the photo shows the old model. once i have production versions of the current batch i will have professional photos done

(I prefer the one on the left but in silver color.)

I prefer the look of the silver MK2 myself but here's a pic of the silver MK1 for you from while I owned one (there are only a few that were made, afaik):

If you want to temporarily use any of the MK2 photos that I previously posted, feel free: http://www.head-fi.org/g/a/751923/the-headamp-gs-x-and-gs-x-mk2-thread/. I have uncompressed TIF copies without watermarks if you want them.

Justin, is it possible to get a GS-X Mk2 with a silver polished faceplate and silver body (not polished just basic brushed finish) ? Thanks.

i believe only the color of the front face plate is customizable, and silver is one of the popular choices (other than the default black). the body itself will be black for everyone. however i dont know if a one-off can be made if you are willing to pay extra

WOW that MK 1 in silver is just beautiful, I really like it. MK2 looks bit outdated to me. but it's all about the SQ, :) I guess I wait for MK3. :)

I owned both and the GS-X MK1 looked great, but sorry, in person, the MK2 looks a lot better.

You could always trade an mk2 for an mk1... be a long line up to help you out =)

I have the silver faceplate GS-Xmk2 and I'm very happy with how it looks, however if I was nit picking, I'd have preferred the 6.5mm headphone sockets like on the GS-Xmk1, rather than in the centre of the dual 3 pin XLR sockets.

Don't judge a book without a professional photo of it's cover wink.gif

All of the mk2 photos are user submitted, whereas the mk1 obviously has a pro photo, so it's hard to know how aesthetics actually stack up. Greed posted some exceptional hi res photos a month ago that give a sense of how the aesthetics matured and got better with the mk2. And justin is making another round of upgrades with this batch to bring them in line with the BHSE ... It's all personal preference, of course

Damn the red panel looks quite sweet. I personally will still stick with black though just because of the rest of my gear is already all black.

Justin, in terms of shipping, at this point do you have an idea of whether we are looking at before or after the holidays?
