It looks like everything besides black and silver are one-offs requiring extra work and materials for Justin. He was able to do red for me for an upcharge. He also made comments very early in this thread about being open to other colors as well, but that was a looong time back so probably check with him directly to see if its still an option.

In relation to the GS-X Mk2 does the HD800 sound better SE or balanced? Thanks.

And what are some balanced cable recommendation for HD800? I quite like it's stock SE cable, and seems the 4pin XLR stock cable is not yet available.
Definitely looking to run it balanced with GS-X if I get it....

Sure thing, approximately - 14.5" W x 9" D x 2.5" H
This is the size of the power supply unit too, correct? So, those dimensions are X2 and the stack would be around 5" high.

Lots of nice cable options that people have been happy with. A few of the top of my head: Q Audio, Norse (if you can find one, or wait for Trevor's new release), Toxic Cables, Mood Audio Black Dragon, Stefan Art, ForzaAudioWorks, and DHC to name a few.

Depends on the headphone, but definitely balanced with the HD800.

yes, they are the same. the boxes are 1.72" tall plus the feet which are 0.5" tall

Those dimensions are approximately, but I just measured the height now and it was: stacked directly on top of each other, you are looking at 4" 1/8 H exactly

Justin, you can make it for 220V right? A friend ordered another amp that came in 240V and its protection circuitry won't disengage and he ended up needing to send it back to rewire....

Actually correction total height including feet is 4" 5/8 H. My apologies for any confusion.

This is probably a really stupid question but... On headamp's website the amp has 2 single ended plugs, a 4 pin balanced and a par of 3 pin balanced jacks. Your amps all have 2 singled ended and one 4 pin balanced... Was that a special request?
The picture of HeadAmp GS-X mk2 (probably downloaded from this thread) shows there are 3 headphone outputs on the front from left to rigt:
- 1 balanced 4 pin
- 2 combination TRS + 3 pin XLR. These can be used as either 2 separate single ended TRS outputs or 1 balanced output using 2 x 3 pin XLR

I think there was a slight advantage of balanced rather than SE. I found the difference (other than louder by several dB with a pure balanced path) very subtle. As to cables, I am not sure I have heard a difference. I have tried the original cable re-terminated, Black Dragon, and some 3-pin balanced cables from.... I don't remember. I couldn't ID the cables in blind listening, though I seemed to prefer (based on length of listening) the Black Dragons by a slight margin.

Of the many balanced headphone cables for HD800 and T1, are there any favorites when paired with GSX?
I noticed that the Cardas Clear was not mentioned. I know that has a reputation for smoothing out the treble on the HD800 but not sure that effect is an advantage with GSX.
Not so easy to try out a bunch of cables...
Even tough with the T1 since it is hardwired. Comments on both HD800 and T1 balanced cables with GSX appreciated.
