What this means is an MH1 will sound terrible when plugged into a modern Android device, but will sound normal when you press the middle button. An MH1C will sound normal, button pressed or not. The other way around for older Nokia phones and Sony Ericsson phones.

Ok thanks. I'll try and find some suitable phones to test it out.

..... (Left = MH1C)  vs. (Right = MH1)

Hmm both of my pairs had/have the Sony logo, not the Sony Ericsson one...

In between making the MH1 (OMTP, with SE logo and old filter) to making the MH1C (CTIA, with no green logo and new filter) there were probably some sets made that have a bit of both as they changed each bit.

The filter is what makes the MH1 'sound different' to the MH1C though.

Just sent off my MH1. Zach is great to deal with. Very prompt and he even ordered me an all black cable at my request. Really looking forward to getting them back.

Too bad he doesn't join the grounds at the y split.  It makes the bottom section a lot more flexible and light.  Either way, it's awesome. :)  Recabled mh1.  awwww yeah.

Can anyone who has heard both the Philips Fidelio L1 and Sony MH1C write a quick comparison of their sound signatures and other qualities/drawbacks?

Love the MH1C's extended subbass (even if the amount can be a bit much at times) and the super smooth, non fatiguing mid and treble. Now looking for something similar in full size cans.

Any input is highly appreciated!

Is MH1 several tiers below FA-4E XB in terms of SQ? I'm currently using it as my main IEM after my M200 busted and I've been on the lookout for an upgrade ever since.

Is the MH1 far behind FA-4E in terms of SQ or is the FA-4E worth its price considering the laws of diminishing returns?

Processed By eBay with ImageMagick, z1.1.0. ||B2

Any one have mh1c with this label? It is different from the mh1 I have now. I found a seller selling this mh1c at ebay india with reasonable price, but not sure whether is fake 1 or not? If genuine one, I wanna get 1.

The label looks familiar. It would be the easiest part of the IEM to fake, though.

How so? Market limited to HF readers, is not going to make anyone rich. Fake an IEM that is actually known to the world and in demand.

Faking an MH1 makes about as much sense as faking apple earbuds.

Funnily enough, the apple earbuds (and now the earpods) are the most faked earphones in history. And you can buy fakes for like $2 including shipping.

That's just how the market works.

Yet try to find one on eBay for less than 45$ - you can't.

Just checked ebay and there are plenty available for under $20.

On another note I should have some lengthy MH1 vs K3003 impressions up in a day or two.
