Total Options worth considering are:-

Creative EP 660 $20

I'm also from India and I ordered MH1C twice (one from amazon.de and one from ebay) but I don't know how both were sounding different, the first one had rolled off highs and the second one has little brighter highs...unfortunately I didn't like any of these

My favourite is always Brainwavz M2 (Hindi and Tamil songs sound awesome in this)...

I have ordered 2 MH1C from ebay.co.uk and both sound the same, both sound awesome, still one of my favorite.

Resurrecting this thread just a touch.  Managed to snag a retail-boxed Mh1 for $17 including shipping (sorry, last one from this retailer!) and it's everything and more ClieOS said.  Fantastic headphones.  Just using a cheap volume extension cable from Radio Shack to prevent funny happenings between my headset and the phone.

As an aside, the Mh1 has a weird retail kit - double the tips (one set in black, one in green) but no shirt clip.

There are no green tips for MH1 as far as I know.

It's in the retail boxes only.

O...I see, didn't know that. redface.gif

Oh, heh, sort of ignore me - there was a shirt clip in the box I just didn't notice it.

Edit:  Also, I'd really like to know who designed and sized the tips for this thing, because the XS sized tips in the package are bigger than my small (orange-core) standard hybrids.

Got the MH1C off ebay last week. After breaking them in, they bass has good extension and the highs are nice. Having said that, I do find these have a bit more overall distortion than some of my other pairs. Does anyone else have a similar experience? And yes the cable sucks.

Just to be sure, have you listened to it while pressing and holding the center button on the remote? Disregard this if it doesn't make any significant difference.

No, its not the connector issue. They sound great for the most part, but when playing songs with deep bass tracks, I notice a the highs arent as clean as with my over the ear headphones (b&w P5S). The specific track I'm listening to is Underture from Tommy by the Who. The bass goes very deep on this track. I have a 24bit 96khz version that I bought off Hdtracks which really sounds amazing. I use it to test out any new headphones I get. Maybe its just the fact that these have great low end and high frequency response and there will be some sacrifice from having a single driver cover the broad range. The other Earphones I have dont have the range these do. My Apple dual balanced armatures sound much cleaner, but no match for the Sonys bass extension. Overall they still sound amazing.

^ Welp if anyone is interested in a great sounding set with no defects, i am selling my last remaining set for a good price. Just don't use them much at all cuz of the other iems in my collection plus due to the hassle of the cable of these. Love their sound to death but.... it is what it is. Shameless plug. tongue_smile.gif
