[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret - Page 142

Interesting to see how that all played out with Rin. Especially considering the people who would point to his analysis to back up their dislike of the MH1s.

I've spent the last hour or so rediscovering my MH1C. I've been listening to John Mayer's Continuum album, and I can barely believe my ears.

Every time I put on my MH1C, I'm floored by the kind of quality it offers at its price point. It lacks NOTHING in terms of SQ.

The only pain with this iem is the *****ing cable. I've modded it into a Y-split with a few bits of table, so it's a good deal more manageable.

Long live the MH1C

I feel ya' eke. I can step away from all this audio madness with just these MH1Cs and my modded JVC S500 and not feel like i am missing out on much tbh.

BUT YEAH CURSE THAT CABLE, though i do like the look/ built of them!!!

700

^^^Ditto.

They sound so good for the $23 I paid for them I almost feel like I ripped someone off.

I did the same thing, I taped up the y split so it is in the correct position. The cable still sucks, but now therere not popping out of my ears.

The pair he had definitely sounds bad and many pairs of MH1Cs do, in the bass department, simply too bloated. A good pair of MH1s sound pretty darn good, but his modded pair makes it way better.

As I was musing in the MW1 thread, I thought the sound difference I heard between the MH1 included with the Bluetooth, and the MH1C could've been placebo, but - maybe there is quite a lot of sample variation...

Nonetheless, for the pocket money price that these IEMs go for, even if you buy a lemon, you can easily afford to try again :)

MH1C now available for $30 on ebay, shipping included.

Where did you find it for $23? :|

Just ordered the MH1C from Amazon for £15. After reading Rin`s backtrack on his blog made me think why not. Fingers crossed. Thanks Clios for costing me more money ;-)

It'll be a worthy investment...

Assuming the fit works, it'll make you wonder why you spent so much money on the MTPC ;)

Will be interesting. My poor old MTPC, never see the light of day and just a back up for the walk to work in case anything (god for bid) happens to my W4`s. ;-)

Strange you say this inks, because when this thread originally started I purchased a pair of MH1C on eBay and they sounded bad as well, I made comments in the thread what I thought about them being bloated and overly warm, I completely wrote off what others were hearing, but with so many members and reputable ones at that praising MH1C I had pondered if something was wrong with my pair.

Last week something interesting happened, I found a classified on the boards of a member giving a pair away without any tips and jumped in. When this second pair arrived last week, I put them on and my jaw almost dropped to the floor, I was expecting the same sound, but this time they sounded much more like others have been reporting this whole time, absolutely nothing like that first pair I had tried months ago. They're certainly capable, well this pair I have here is.

I got my set from ebay/mobimega (Hong Kong) and they sound bloated.
