OMTP plug on the other is not compatible to most 3.5mm TRS socket and only sound normal with the TRRS smart adapter mentioned before or when you pressed the call button on the remote. (2) Given Apple iDevice also use the CTIA standard, you can use the MH1C on any iDevices as well, but the volume control and smart button won’t work. Only the call button is functional.

You should have read the review more carefully. It's because of the way an OMTP plug is wired (left-right-mic ground), which doesn't work proprely with TRS plugs.

After reading the whole thread I just had to order a pair, weak againbiggrin.gif

I also ordered for gbp 8.95 from the same seller on amazon.uk that many others have used. The estimated shipping time makes me belive that these are shipped from outside Europe.

This is gonna be a long wait........

It shouldn't be. The estimated shipping time is always too far ahead. You should receive it within a week.

I hope youre right...............

I will post impressions when I get them.

went for these above the rockit sounds r20, gr02, and dunu tridents (though i may still consider them later as backup as i love the build quality)

hoping i made the right choice, but even if they don't fit my desired sound signature (clarity and space but with a good subbass punch) i won't sweat it as it's "only" $26.  i'll also be realistic and assume it'll  be good, but nothing near the GR07s or the Miles Davis Trumpet.  but if they get a good 50-75% of the way there i'll be a happy camper.

now only to wait a possible 2+ weeks, and hope that i didn't get a fake or defective unit.

Received mine today.. and I believe they are defective. I can barely hear vocals and it is distorted. Noooooooooo

Just incompatible connector with your device, lol. Try pressing the middle button on the remote and they will sound normal.

Yeah, the button should be pressed all the time. Apparently you bought the wrong version of the mh1 that you needed. Did you get the mh1 or the mh1c and what is the device you're using? A simple adapter will fix that issue.

I bought the MH1C. Im just using it with my PC now.

Well, I guess somthing like that will fix it for use with your pc  http://www.meelec.com/MEElectronics_Skype_Adapter_for_PC_p/adptr-skype-22in-35.htm . I'm not saying this is the only one that will work. A local pc store should have cables like that. Also, you may try using a simple extension cable (if you have one) - maybe it will work too but I'm just guessing.
