Totally agree.

I'm lucky in that I can appreciate and immerse myself in many different sound signatures.  I love my favorites equally.  My wallet is of course not so lucky.

The bass on the 400's seem deeper to me, more full.  But the presentation of the whole package, while not neutral, is pretty darn good on the 600's, and I can live without what I think is slight boost in the low mids on the 400's.  I'd have to see a graph of the frequency response taken with my own ears to verify what I believe I hear.

In any case, I have two models that I respect equally.  Must be a result of loving Grado's: many flavors of awesome.  Except for the RS1, which I consider to be the biggest waste of money I can think of when compared to price and performance of the SR series.  I mention this only to show that I don't love EVERYTHING...

I love RE-400s overall......but is that current price difference between them ($121) is still worth for RE-600s?.....

If you like the sound signature of the RE600 (subdued treble with very dynamic bass and mids) then it was arguably worth it when they were $399. The sheer sound quality is unmatched IMO by anything else at that price range that I've tried.

There is nothing said about international clients, but you could always try to contact them via email - hybridaudio@mail.ru , I'm sure that they can speak english there in moscow

noted..... TY, will be handy when needy......

Got the RE-600 today. Sounds great straight from my phone... Getting the best seal with UE900 tips.

Mids are really forward( you need to love mids to appreciate the Re600), Soundstage is quite big and coherent. Really loving the timbre. Really good performance for 200€

Isolation is almost on par with BA's imo. Better than headphones like HD25's for sure

i have to say, the re400 has really **** build quality. My gf has been using them for about 2 years, and they spoiled for the first time just under a year (wire came out of the sheathing), got them replaced, and after about another year, they the cable came out from under the iem housing. I am done with this crap, no matter how good value they are, if they cant take the abuse of a typical woman, they must be built extremely poorly

Totally agree with you there....if HifiMan doesn't do anything about their build quality, they'll be losing their customers soon however good they sound. What's the point in having something that sounds good and keeps breaking down because of bad build quality

They really need to rethink their cables for a lot of what they offer. If I ever get any new HiFiMAN IEMs, I'll certainly get them recabled instantly unless there's a change. The stock cable that came with my HE-400s is collecting dust too.

I don't think HiFiMAN will change the cable on the RE-400/600 as long as people still buy them. They've been around for a while now and are still quite popular. It's a shame, but hey, there's always compromise when it comes to these kinds of things.

It seems like the general consensus is that the build quality of the 400/600 are bad, but how is Hifiman's customer service at dealing with replacements?

Did you guys have to pay for shipping both ways, or did they only cover one-way shipping?

Is the 1 year warranty renewed if you get a replacement?
